I was rear-ended a week ago from yesterday, so hard it totaled my car. The ER said x-rays were fine and my regular check up doctor last Thursday said I was just imflammed and sore. I am going back this Thursday because it seems the pain in my lower back is worsening. The weird thing about it is when I sit for long periods, I work 8 to 9 hours a day (sitting at a computer) I usually start to feel the pain around lunch time and by this time 3 to 4 p.m. I am moving & re-adjusting trying to get comfort...even the pain pills don't elevate the pain, only when I get home and lay down. What could this be? Thanks.

Over the past year or so, I wake up with upper right back pain. It is very inconsistent and can go a few weeks without any pain and then a few weeks with pain every morning. I usually wake from my sleep and can't get back to sleep. I've gotten an MRI and nothing showed up. The back specialist said he saw nothing physicially wrong with my back. My primary physician suggested it may be acid reflux, but I don't believe it is as I don't feel like I have acid reflux.

What could be wrong with my back?

I have had some low back stiffness/tenderness for about a week. I've had this on and off for 4 or 5 years and frankly it really isn't concerning to me. However, it was pretty sore today, and tonight after reaching for something I ended up with SEVERE pain. It hurts to move and is nearly impossible to get up out of bed without help. I went to the urgent care clinic and got a shot of Toradol and a Valium. It barely put a dent in the pain. I was told to take Ibuprofen and Vicodin at home. I'm feeling little relief. It is tolorable when I am at rest but getting up is pure agony and causes several minutes of severe pain. Should I just deal with it and rest my back and see if things improve? Should I return to urgent care for further pain relief? Or should I see a family doctor today? I am generally distrustful of physicians and really I want more aggressive care then they are willing to offer. I need to return to work and need the best and quickest outcome for relief.

What does it mean when I can lolonger sit criss-cross due to extream hip joint pain after only a few moments?

Note: This also effects many other activities I do as well.
And this might also be because my back has been out of alignment for the past 6 months, and within the four have my hips experienced such pain.

I'm 15 and have had a spinal cord stimulator implanted (for complex regional pain syndrome/reflex sympathetic dystrophy in my right leg) in my spine (which has requied 3 surgeries to sucessfully implant). My lumbar spine where the leads are implanted is very sore, and often times I have trouble standing up straight without pain. I also have Keloid scarring condition so I have lots of extra scar tissue around my spine. What would be some suggestions as to what to do to help with my back pain? I have been using ice, streching, and taking Advil which don't seem to help much.

For the last 2 months or so, I've had a constant but not excruciating pain in my upper right arm. I played softball this summer, but the pain was there just prior to my playing. Whenever I turn my arm a certain way or when I reach for my coffee cup, that is when I feel it, a sharp, pinching pain. Should I be overly-concerned about this? Is this serious enough to go have it checked out?

I have a pain in my left side under my rib cage and I've had it for a couple of weeks and it comes and goes. Is there any explanation for this? I can't think of anything that I might have done to cause it.

I started work today to realize that I have pain in my eye. My eyes aren't itchy or irritated, but if I look up or down or sideways too quickly, it really hurts my eye muscles. Is there anything I can do for this? Should I move it around a lot, or try to keep it closed?

My husband has cronic migraines and was seeing a Neuro for sometime but then stopped going. He has an appt now but in October. He has this migraine that keeps lingering and keeps taking Tyneol PM non stop. Is there any other type of Migraine medicine that is over the counter that would work better than the Tyneol PM?
