See a pain management doctor at your local hospital, they are anesthesiologists, if you need a referral get one and make an appt, I went to one for my back it was a godsend

I could write volumes on pain and meds. Morphine works short time, and the physical withdraw really, really, really sucks. I have had to live with this for 14 years (hern disks, spasms, nerve damage, etc). All I can say is that the family docs suck, they do not understand and all are incompetent. Get a referal for an MRI if you think there is something major wrong. How did the pain start? Accident, fall, strain, just appeared? This info would help alot in diag.
Get a ref. to pain management. Have an MRI already done. PM is the only way you will get any relief, either from various meds or treatments.
On a specific side note - before you decide to kill yourself because the pain is so bad for so long and no one care enough or is competent enough to help you...smoke a *little* weed - it is a great muscle relax and worth a try. I know numerous individuals that have went this route as a last resort.
Chronic pain sucks, but death is worse. Good luck

Definately get a second opinion. I don't really understand the point of him giving you the valium...a muscle relaxer, such as Flexeril or Skelaxin, would have been my first choice for muscle spasms (DUH!). You may need a stronger pain med, Ultracet is pretty weak. I have chronic muscular pain for which Soma seems to help when I need it. Again, see another doctor, one that will take your complaints seriously.

The physicians who contract with the insurance companies for workers compensation have a vested interest in not finding anything wrong with you. If they can stretch it out long enough, they can say you must have injured yourself elsewhere and it is not work related. We see this all the time. There is a plastic surgeon in my town who does spine evaluations and contradicts the opinion of board certified spine surgeons but the insurance companies take the opinion of the plastic surgeon because it saves them money.
You have the right to insist on another opinion, see someone who is not affiliated with your work.
Geez,,,I hate the **** insurance companies and their prostitute physicians.
Go get seen.

the strongest pain meds you can get is Percocet. (Oxycontin) .i suffered from back spasms and ultimately did surgery .one thing you have to keep in mind with the pain medication its addictive.addiction comes in 2 forms physical and psychological. After living off pain meds for 4 1/2 yrs every day i got my back fixed and had a little bit of the psychological addiction.some other people that had surgery the same time i did booked themselves into detox right after surgery.i had disc issues and went here to get my spine injury fixed .

U may take raw garlic with warm water as first thing in morning and avoid eating for minimum 30 minutes thereafter. U would start getting relief from 2nd or 3rd day.

There is no medicine for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 90% success in treating pains confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
