PAIN is the body's way of telling everyone, kids and adults, STOP and rest. There are some basics you can try but if they don't work in a couple of days you need to tell your folks!

Perhaps missing a day or two of soccer would let the back rest. You need to tell your coach because you may be hurting it over and over during practice. Sounds like you "tweeked" or pulled a muscle.

Use ice pack for 10 minutes followed by 10 minutes of hot packs (like heating pad). Do that every other hour or so.

When you are sleeping, lay on your side and put a pillow between your knees, which opens the space between the vertebrae.

Again, if it has been there a week you need to discuss the situation with an adult or you could be in pain longer than you care to think about.

Try using an ice pack. A package of frozen vegetables works-
if your mom will let you use one. Try taking an anti-inflammatory like Motrin or Advil (ibuprofen) too (unless you're allergic to it.) That works better than Tylenol (acetaminophen)l, because it takes down some of the swelling and irritation. Don't do anything strenuous - like soccer- for a week to ten days, too. I see a chiropractor, when my back is especially bad, but that decision needs to be made with your parents.
Of course if you have any other symptoms like leg pain or weakness, pain when you urinate, blood or anything else that doesn't belong there in your urine; or really any other symptoms with the pain, then sorry,
but I am going to tell you to go see a health care professional. And too, I just want to tell you that these are just suggestions, too, I'm not a doctor, but a nurse.

Heating pads or hot towels help. Also, gently stretch the muscles, and go easy for a few days.

try getting a massage. soccer pains kill... i've played for 7 years now. but seriously talk to your mom about going to a licensed Massage Therapist. My mom is one and it helps soooo much. and it doesnt have to do with a doctor. :] your muscles just need a break.
