I use hot rollers and some hair shaping paste and have no problem at all. When I use curling iron, mine does the same as yours.
Hot rollers are alot quicker too!!!! Just use them on the ends, roll about half way up, and brush straight when you remove them!! If you want the "flat ends" then just press them with a flat iron afterwards.
P.S. I have really curly hair, its the only thing that I have found that works, in 43yrs. lol

My daughter has a curling iron that straightens her hair- also uses hair spray when doing this. I realize you've heard this before, but, some people would pay lots of money to have ur curly locks. I envy you. Here is a site below that may assist you. Hope this helps you out. Good luck and take care!

As a Stylist we have MANY of Products that you can use to "help" it go straight. BUT the SECOND you walk into heat it will puff right back up!!
Try a Chemical Straightener :D

Why fight it? Do you hate curly hair? Consider having it chemically straightened. Consider living someplace not so humid.

I don't fight mine. I do apply solutions to keep it from getting frizzy. I have found that most people wish they did have curly hair - so why fight it.

Buy a maxi glider. Those work very well. If that doesn't work, put a african american perm/relaxer in it. However, check with a hairdresser first.

the reason we do it is because we follow stupid people in the limelight that have their hair straightened. i have wavy hair but straighten mine so im guilty of it too. i think we have far too much influence by celebrities, its like the whole "everybody wants to be slim thing", all because celebs are stick thin! makes me mad....... but we do like to follow trend...... its in our nature, you see something you like, you do it !!
