Eh, same problem for me.

Don't looks at the needles at ALL, if they are big, you'll freak out. If your mom or dad, or any family member goes with you, sit next to them with your head on their shoulder, don't look at all. When I got my tetanus shot, I didn't look and I hardly felt it, which was hard to believe, because that's the most painful shot...If it hurts, it'll hurt AFTER the shot, not while it's happening.

OK....for some reason shots don't really hurt for me. If it's hepatitis it'll probably hurt like hell. It hurt a lot for me. I got another one that hurt a lot, but i don't remember which one. I had to get 4 for school.
Before that, I broke my arm. I didn't even cry. They had to stick an IV in me 4 times because they couldn't find the vain. I found the vain. They probably would have poked it in me 8 times if i wouldn't have found it.

It really helps if a family member is with you, I don't know why.
If there is a TV in the office and the doctor is not blocking it, try watching TV to get your mind off of the shots.
If not, try to think about something else.
Whatever you do, DO NOT LOOK AT THE SHOT! You will not be able to deal with the pain if you look at it.
If they prick your finger, they usually let you choose which finger to prick you on, PICK YOUR MIDDLE FINGER! It hurts less. They usually prick you on the side if your finger.

You might feel a little nausea and dizziness because you got a large quantity of shots. It helps to sit down. Move your arms a lot. They might be a little sore, that goes away the next day. You'll just have to deal with that.
Dammit. My shots were almost 2 weeks ago, and they're only sore when I think about them. Try not to think about them.

Hopefully this helps.
Best of luck!

I had such an issue with needles and ended up having to have a lot of shots including giving myself shots that I went to a hypnotist for two session. I have since given other people shots. I wouldn't have thought that would be possible. You are not alone in your fear of needles. I don't look.

Ask the doctor or nurse and see what they suggest.
I Googled this question and here's what I found:

The pain of an injection may be lessened by prior application of ice or topical anesthetic or simultaneous pinching of the skin. Recent studies suggest that forced coughing during an injection stimulates a transient rise in blood pressure which inhibits the perception of pain. Perhaps the most common technique to reduce the pain of an injection is simply to distract the patient.

I remember watching Good Morning America about a year ago, and they were talking about the same thing. Robin Roberts hated needles too. The doctor told her when he was about to give her the shot, to turn her head and cough a little. She said it worked.

Don't look at it and stay calm. Think of something else when it's going on. I don't mind shots or needles but when i got my tattoo i just thought of other things and talked to my friend the whole time

I had a blood disease and had to take a billion shots. I found the best thing is to tell the person giving you the shot to count to 3, and take a big breath when they get to 3. It seems to help, but I don't know why.

Do not watch them do it. This makes you more nervous. Also, do not tense you arm because it WILL hurt more. I do not like shots either but the nurse told me this once....and it helped a lot. Just dont pay them any attention...Once I didn't even know it was over.
