The xray tech asked me if I had ever carried a baby full-term. She mentioned that she would have to do something different if I had.

NOTE:
I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PROTECTING A CURRENT PREGNANCY. SHE ASKED ABOUT PAST PREGNANCIES.
Thanks.

Seriously, I look like a friggin' dalmation. I just noticed a new one on my arm that actually stands out. I have no idea where these bruises come from either, and no, I don't get drunk and run into things. Are there any disorders that could cause you to bruise from just a tap, or for no reason?
Thanks for the help... this is annoying. I can't wear mini skirts anymore, and I am scared that people are going to start thinking that my husband beats me!

Ok last week i was trying to shut my window and it fell down on my wrist- like if your turn your arm over beneath the palm area. It was bruised for a couple a days and now the cut from the impact is almost healed, but there is still this pain whenever i move my wrist in certain directions-especially like side to side when opening doors and such. The pain is pretty tolerable even though sometimes i do want to cry from it. Should i go to the doctor. It looks fine and isn;t even swollen nemore so should i go since its just the pain. Wat could a doctor even do besides just prescribe pain meds.

My son has a large splinter of wood in his arm. The site of entry has since healed up. Will it gradually disperse or will he need an operation to remove it?

Sun. I went by ambulance to an emergency room (private hospital - not county) after falling off a ladder and twisting my spine and hitting my head. I was treated with Demerol, Oxycodone and Vallium and released at 1am. They 'forgot' to give me my perscriptions for Motrin, Vicodin and Soma. I slept all of Mon. and took Vicodin I had at home. Tues. I was in pain and had no more meds and called the ER and was told I would have to come back in and wait to be seen again since they forgot to give me the prescriptions. They said the meds couldn't be called in because they are narcotics. Wed. I talked to the E.R. Manager and she said she would "look into this" and see why I was released without being given the meds I needed. Its now the following Mon. and I've never heard from her again. I am on Medicare, and I know if I were to go back to the ER they would charge Medicare again, and that is just wrong! I will report this to their chief of staff, but who else? I welcome suggestions.

My better half was out snowblowing the end of the driveway last night, and when he went to turn the blower around, he slipped on some ice and took a bad fall. Now he has a small lump on his elbow where he hit, and he also fell on his hip.

He called me from work on his lunch break to tell me he was feeling sick and nauseous, and wondered if it had anything to do with the fall. I've looked all over the internet and found nothing, so I suspect he's just having a nervous reaction to a scary experience.

Has anyone else ever fallen on their hip and experienced gastrointestinal discomfort that was actually serious?

I had hammer toe surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago and the surgeon cut the bone to shorten the toe, repaired torn ligament(s), and removed scar tissue from a 2003 neuroma surgery. I had the pin removed 4 days ago. A few days BEFORE pin removal, I was having horrible nighttime toe spasms. The spasms have pretty much stopped since the pin removal. However, I now have horrible nighttime pain which feels like BAD burning and tingling - like needles poking it. The only relief I get is to lower my foot elevation and ice it (a lot!). I'm surprised about this. I'm on antibiotics for fear that it might be an infection - but that's been five days now - and I'm wondering if I have a circulation problem - or RSD? I had a possible RSD in my other foot a few years back; but it's been debated whether that was a true RSD or reaction to a cortisone shot (and I recovered and ran marathons since then - so I have my own doubts about the RSD dx). Any ideas? Anyone else experience this?

Ok, so I used to cut myself right? Stupid I know I've given up after one night I cut way way too deep and the skin just slipt open and it wouldn't stop bleeding. I did that in September and after it began to heal there was a pinky/purple looking strip where the cut was. I've been having to wearing a sweatband over it ever since so noone could see. Four months later (january) it is basically exactly the same just a tiny tiny bit more faded.
Any good, non sarcastic/mean/rude ideas/comments on how to make this cut fade and disappear ASAP would be sooo muchly appreciated!
(I've found other ways to deal with problems now so yeah, no rude comments please)

Has anyone had a pin put into a broken toe? I whallaped my last two toes on a heavy furniture base. Walked on it for 1 week and decided it needed an x-ray. Yes it's Bad. The 4th toe is snapped into at the section closest to the foot. I may need a pin. Any advice from a wise one? Many thanks!
