I was around 14+ when I was hit on my left eye by a soccer ball while goal keeping. It was quite a hard kick(Or Ram) to my eye and there was a thick red line blocking the bottom part of my left eye vision. I rested for a day and when I went to see an eye doc, he said that there was nothing wrong, just a bit of blood at the back of my eye due to the impact. Now I have quite a few floaters like a big 8 which is horizontal. Has anyone experienced this? I know people who have floaters but their like small dots floating but are there people who have floaters which are big?

Well, during gym we were playing kneeball (handball on our knees) and the day after my knee started to swell. Now 2 weeks later it just got worse. NOw I am unable to bend my knee or walk on it. I went to the doctor 1 week ago. He said I might have torn a ligament. The orthapidic just sent me home and told me to rest. For the entire weekend i hae been lying in bed. Well not the whole, but a lot. I was doing this because I am unable to walk and I tryed hopping but I fell. What is a meniscus tear and How bad Do you think I have it if I do?

Ps. Have I mensioned that my knee "locks" when I try to straiteen it? What will they do to solve this problem?

While lying on my stomach I turned my torso to look behind me and heard a pop from my left hip, followed by sharp pain. This was followed by duller pain, and shots of pain when I try to rotate my left hip. Any ideas?

I was blowing my stuffy/runny nose about a week and a half ago and after that my right ear has felt plugged. I don't know if it is plugged or maybe ruptured from blowing too hard? It definitely feels a lot different from my left ear which seems perfectly fine. What do you think could have happened? It has been about 11 days and my ear still feels plugged...im not even sure if it's plugged to be honest. Any ideas/suggestions?

I understand muscle tears are repaired with collagen and unlike bone repairs tends to be weaker than its original state. For reasons such as unaligned fibers and nervous system irregularities etc. But other muscle tears can heal without surgery so why not hernias?

Have any therapists out there successfully dealt with abdominal hernia repair conditioning without surgery? Long term success?

I have cracked my ankle. It's been a month and it's still swolen all around my ankel. At first it was hurting a lot and i really needed the vicodine that my doctor has prescribed. It's been a week that the pain is not that bad.I can handle it without any pain killers, but i still go for vicodine and take one.Just one tablet a day.I am 33 years old and was never addicted to anything in my life.I don't drink,i don't smoke.I haven't even seen any kind of drugs.I am worried that i like the way it makes me feel. When i take it , iam much happier,i am more patient with my kids and i can deal with anything.I feel horrible about it.The good news is i have only few left. But is this what addiction feels like?

I have had problems with gout over the years. I have learned that there is a family history of the condition - there have been people on both my mom and dad's side of the family who have had the condition. I'm thinking that I've got a genetic predisposition to gout, I was wondering if it was something that would've come from my mom's side or dad's?

I posted the question about my foot injury about 4 days ago, and I have another question relating to the same injury. There was significant bruising that surfaced with the injury. The bruising in two of my toes is almost the same, they're pretty much black, and the bruising near my ankle is black as well, and growing in size. I'm still having localized pain, sometimes more extreme than others at one place on my foot. Is the bruising cause for concern since it is not starting to fade? I go back to the doctor on tuesday for possibly more x-rays. He was concerned that it may be a displaced fracture that wouldn't surface right away. Any feedback?

It seems like over the past couple months a number of people that I know have had knee problems, and have either had or will be having surgery shortly. Not just in my family, but people I know at work and at church have been having knee problems.

I was wondering if there is a certain time of year when people are more prone to knee injuries. Are knee injuries more common during the winter?

My cat bit me in my hand when we were trying to get him in a carrer. It's a pretty deep bite. It's right along the bone that goes to your inxex finger. There's one that slipped off the bone and bit BY it and one right on it (The depest one is on) then there's another one on my palm on the bone also. But that's not the issue, the issue is now it REALLY hurts and my hand feels all tight when I move it. It hurts ALL the time and it doesn't feel like it's getting all the blood flow like it did before the bite. Is there something I can do? Is it bad? It hurts and I can't use it for almost anything. I can hardly type with it. It feels really tight and hard to move.
Is this something to worry about? I don't think my cat is sick because he's mine and just had a vet viset not to long ago. Like two months. Should I see my doctore about this? And why is it so tight to move? I'm really worried that he may have hurt the bone or something. He just bit me like tho hours ago so it's not been long.

while lifting heavy weights at the gym, I have had experinces of a quick but severe headaches. Similiar to an "icecream" headache . A milder headache may remain then for a couple of days. After having this happen, I have to be really careful when lifting or it reaccurs easily.
Does anybody know what this is? Is it just strained muscles in the neck or possably something more serious.

I just accidentally sliced off a chunk of my thumb with a razor blade. The part that came off is about an inch long and maybe a quarter inch deep. I ran my thumb and the detached piece under water to clean it out. Then I re-attached the piece and wrapped bandaids around it.
Will this piece heal back onto my thumb or will it die and fall off like a scab?
Should I go to the doctor and get an anti-biotic or just wait and see if infection is a problem?
thank you all in advance..
jasper

I hurt my big toe nail...walking down a hill at nighttime. I didn't see this small rock that stopped the forward motion of my foot and therefore sending all that force onto my big toe nail in the direction as if trying to push it back into my foot. It hurt for the day and it doesn't hurt any more. The nail was not raised off the nail bed. and 90% of the nail is black from left to right. Here's a picture of it: http://wolfsfiles.googlepages.com/blackNail.JPG

My black nail is growing or being pushed out...i trimmed it a few weeks ago. First time since i trimmed it the day of the axcident to prevent further pain from the boot. I'm thinking its the undamaged part of my nail that is responsible for this forward motion / growth of the nail.

The thing is i can feel a small gap between the back of the black half of the nail and my toe, as labeled in the picture. It's like only part of the nail is growing.

Will i be getting the whole nail to grow back in unison anytime soon, or later lol?
