Well, I slipped on ice the other night and hit the back of my head on some concrete, on the edge of my front porch steps. I've had a slight headache since it happend (last Sunday night). The back of my head is no longer sore or puffy like it was...should I be worried or is it getting better?

Any time there is swelling and/or pain from an injury to the BACK of the head, you should ALWAYS seek medical attention. The possiblity of a subdural hematoma should always be considered, and it is a serious issue. Immediately after the fall, you should go to the ER! If you still have a headache, but the swelling has gone down, then I would still call your physician for advice, immediately.

it's possible you had a concussion but since it's been over 24 hours you're out of the danger zone now. but it's still bothering you i would recommend going to a doctor just to make sure there's nothing else wrong.
it's also possible if you did have a concussion, that you now have post-concussion syndrome. (which basically means you have all the symptoms of a concussion without one) so I would definitely go get it checked out

Im not a Dr. but I heard that you'll be ok with head injuries as long as you were not in a coma. Coma is when internal scar tissue and such developes to give you seizures and stuff.

So long as it is only a slight headache and you don't have nausea or dizziness with it then you should be fine.
