Use ice packs 15 min. on, 15 min. off for 2 hrs. at a time. Don't apply the packs directly to bare skin but place a towel between the pack and your finger. Don't use heat. Try to keep your entire right hand and arm as immobile as you can, as much as possible. Use the analgesic of your choice. If the swelling hasn't reduced significantly by Monday morning and/or if you are unable to bend the finger, report this to your doctor on Monday. You may need a hand X-ray to rule out fracture. I'm hoping it's just soft tissue damage and nothing more.

Itching is ordinary, it extremely is the tissues healing. Use any scar fading product to help do away with it yet be warned they could be utilized 3-5 situations an afternoon on a daily basis for 3-4 months to succeed, so do no longer assume and over evening effect.

You may have "jammed" your finger. Alternate warm compresses with ice (no more than 15-20 minutes for each). Gently massage the finger and see if that helps.

Ice will help take down the swelling. If it's too painful and too swollen though, you may have damaged it worse than you originally thought, and may want to have your doctor check it.
