Say,if I had a cut on my hand, could I lay in the sun for a while, would the cut heal quicker?Would it be the light, warmth or UV rays?

Sun..no. However...

Keep it clean, change the bandage, put on neosporin, and let it air dry. The air is what helps it heal.

I'm not a scientist and can only give my opinion but it would heal quicker and I believe it's because when the sun strikes us vitamin D is produced naturally within out bodies which would speed up the healing process.
However with the strength of the UV rays you'd do more damage to the rest of your body lying in the sun then what you'd actually benefit from.
I'd just buy a band aid. Save your skin from cancer.
