The cover of my nail, my normal nail.. is teared like i actidentally cut it with a razor blade at work and its been getting worse and it hurts.. can it heal? and what cna i do to have it to heal...? please help..

I have a 'broken nail' that goes into the quick, and I've had it for well over ten years ... and sometimes it seems to 'heal' and then it 'breaks along that line' again and yes, it does 'hurt' and it can get 'way worse' ... so I'd go to the doctor for help, and GO IMMEDIATELY IF IT IS BLEEDING. I take HUGE DOSES of NIACIN because I can't 'afford' to take a 'statin' drug for my cholesterol, and since I've started that 'therapy' my nail has been 'healed' more than it has been 'torn open' ... but DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO HEAL IT until you have 'cleared it' with your doctor.

I would see a doctor because of infection; file an injury report and get examined.
