Seriously, I look like a friggin' dalmation. I just noticed a new one on my arm that actually stands out. I have no idea where these bruises come from either, and no, I don't get drunk and run into things. Are there any disorders that could cause you to bruise from just a tap, or for no reason?
Thanks for the help... this is annoying. I can't wear mini skirts anymore, and I am scared that people are going to start thinking that my husband beats me!

How old are you?
You might be lacking in the hormone called DHEA- I was. I used to get a cut or something and it would be there forever. Sometimes birth control pills cause easy bruising.

There are many disorders that can cause excessive bruising:

o Bleeding disorders
o Hemophilia
o Von Willebrand's disease
o Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
o Immune disorder
o Leukemia
o Aplastic anemia
o Disseminated intravascular coagulation
o Scurvy

Some medicines can also cause excessive bruising:

* Blood thinning medications
* Birth control pills
* Aspirin
* Certain arthritis medications
* Certain diuretics

I'd definately ask your doctor next time you go, or if you really have a lot of bruises go to the doctor soon. Maybe a nurse or doctor around here can provide a better explanation, I just looked at this website.

You should be taking a Vitamin C supplement !! Bruising can be caused by a lack of Vit C in your blood!! Also, I have noticed that people with overall poor diets such as alot of fast food, diets that consist of little to no fruits and veggies!!!!! This is your sign!!!! You need to build up your Vit C levels so it will take some time to see any kind of results!!
Eat better, feel better!!!
God bless!!!! ( :

Hey baby, Vitamin C deficiency. Eat more citrus fruits, tomatoes, potatoes, cabbage, green peppers. Bioflavonoids needed too - Oranges, lemons, lime, tangerine, peas. Or go get bottle of C complex tablets from your chemist - 1,000 mg (time release) with bioflavonoids, rutin and hesperidin. Take one in the morning and one at night.

PEACE & LOVE & ALL THAT
