Well...I run cross country and I have the worst shin splints EVER!
Im captain so I cant NOT run...any tips on how to make then go away FAST?

The muscle or tendon or whatever that connects the upper and lower jaw is killing me! Hurts to smile, talk, eat, open my mouth, etc. What the heck is it? Did I maybe somehow dislocate it? It kinda makes a crunching sound when I push my jaw side to side with my hand. Please help! I want to eat dinner!

i had a motorcycle accident a month ago, & had blood drained from my knee, i wasnt able to move my knee for that whole month. my leg & knee were all bruised up, now i have some motion in my leg. i want to know what kind of exercises is there for me to do because i wasnt scheduled physical therapy? i was just told to try moving it little by little, but i want to heal quicker!

I got a huge bruise from my shoulder bag
( it keeps hitting my leg, while i am walking from class to class! I swear that there is something pointy in there but, everytime I look there is nothing but my books, and all the other school supplies!), How can I treat the bruise?

I noticed the pain about two years ago but it didn't bother me too much and so I forgot about it totally. In these last two years it has gotten much worse and at times, a little scary. It's usually after I've done something strenuous but it seems to be getting more painful. I've been told it was a hernia. It is ...well, in my pubic area and I get like a painful balloon under the skin that I can push back into a hole or something. When it scares me the most is when it sort of, goes into my scrotum. Thats when I am forced to lie down and massage it until it disappears again. Recently it has been more frequent and sometimes burns a little so I think it may be more serious than I originally thought. Whats going on ? Is it dangerous ? What can be done about this problem ? Can it be fixed or am I finished. Save the nut jokes. Thanks.

They never tell you any details at the hospital do they, I have a fibreglass cast on and I have been walking (or should I say hobbling around) but I don't know if I should be. Has anyone else suffered the same injury? (apart from Wayne Rooney and David Beckham lol:)

I went to a party thinking I was just going there to socialize. But, a friend of mine became hyper after having something to drink decided to start jabbing at me. Then someone else tried to pick me up. I got squeezed in the process. I just feel some pain around my right rib cage every day .

It's the worst sprain I've probably had playing basketball. I stayed off of it for a week and played ice hockey the following weekend without irration. Now from just walking around it has seemed to be getting worse. Could I have done something more then just sprain it?

Im 28 and 18 months ago i injured my cruiate and cartlidge in my right knee from a rather bad football tackle. i had an op and had half of my cartlidge removed. I am a player manager in a Sat football team and my knee keeps giving way and is still painful. Is it safe to keep playing ? i can't have any time off as im starting a new job but do love playing.

last nite i was cutting chicken, and i got a little cut on my hand, well i didn't notice untill i was almost done about 20 minutes later b/c then the cut started to sting really bad, then i washed it.. will i get sick b/c the chicken germs sat on my cut for a long time, would something have happened already since it was last nite, should people wear gloves when touching chicken?

I was pitting out on avocado and knife jabbed into my finger. owch!!it was an open gash. immediately rinsed water on it and covered with a hand towel and ice. it sealed up by the time er looked at it (3 hours later).it was cut on ring finger were it bends at ring area. they said i didn't need a stich. well, right now i went to see if it stopped bleeding and adjusted the gauze, i barly pressed on the fatty part just above cut, to fix gauze and blood came out real fast.when i streach it, it bleeds. it didnt do this at the er. im just leaving it alone now. so shouldn't they have gave me a stich?

if you break a toe does it neccasarraly have to swell up and lose all movement. I hurt my toe jumping from a wall (on a drinking session :-p). it hurts to bend and walk, there is slight bruising on the knuckles but still has fall movment (all be it painful) and never swelled up, could it be broken or does it sound more like a tenden???
