Hubby stepped on a upturned "somewhat rusty" screw at work today, has a puncture wound in the bottom of his heel. He can walk on it with "a good bit of pain". There was no bleeding, and he had a tetnous shot April 2005.

We cleaned the wound with Peroxide and put Antibotic Ointment and a sterile cotton pad on it.

What to do next?

What are any signs he needs to see a doctor?

Would an antibotic help speed healing?

thanks in advance.

Where do the vitamins come from that are used in vitamin supplements. Are they manufactured chemically or from natural sources such as plants?

a couple days ago the inside of the back of my throat started to get red. it hurt whenever i swallowed, yawned, or sneezed. on the other side of my throat (right of hanging thing) it was fine but a little red. it feels like my throat is really dry. now my voice is different like a little deeper than b4.the affected side of my throat the white part is sticking in or something. the other side is normal i guess(sticking out but not a lot). anyway each morning when i wake up my throat feels like its really dry and sore. it hurts again.

what is wrong with my throat is it like strep throat or something? what should i do? is there any medicines?
please help. btw at skool its like my ears are plugged up and i cant hear very clearly, so i dont know whether im speaking loud enough(teachers told me 2speak louder lol) is this normal? please help!!!

What is a good master's degree to get with a BS in Biology. I do not want to get a master's in Biology cuz it would seem pointless (much like my BS in Biology). Whats a good master's that will make me some money and still allow me to work in a healthcare/science/biology related field (other than going to medical school)?

Ok.. So I got a scab a few days ago from some shoes I wore. The scab is right above my ankle. It's decent sized. Well today when I was shaving, I accidently shaved over the scab and it tore off half the scab. It bled for a little while. I put Neosporin on it twice today. Anyways, I was wondering.. is it going to scar? I'm worried that it's going to scar since it tore off.

Ok, while I'm at it, I guess I can ask this question to. A while ago I got two corns on my toes. Well they've been gone for about three months now. However, there are still marks where the corns were. They look kind of shiny.. and when you rub them they turn red. But they're flat. Is the skin there ever going to be normal again?

Thanks.

My ankle has been bugging me since about the beginning of July. I am sorta big for my age so I put alot of stress on my joints, and I am active. So yea... Anywho I cant really turn it to the left or right with out it shooting pain through my foot/ankle on the inside of my foot(the right side of my left foot)

I put an ace bandage around it but it still hurts, and i need to know what type a bandage i should use. or if yall know a good brand that makes braces that would fit my fat ankle and such

I dont know if i should go to a doctor or not its not swollen or anything..it just hurts!

I fell and twisted my ankle on Friday morning... although it hurt to walk, I could still walk by limping and I'm sure nothing was broken. Today is Tuesday night so it's been 4 days since.

My question is, is it normal for my foot to stay swollen this long? I can walk fairly well without limping (although slow, of course). But there's this dull ache from my toes to my knee (it doesn't hurt a lot, but it's just there, you know?) Is that normal after almost five days? Also, how long does a swollen foot after a sprained ankle last?

I had hurt my knee a long time ago. It had swelled up and turned purple. I still have a lot of problems with it like constant pain, swelling, kneecap dislocating. What could be wrong with it? I was told it could be arthritis but the dr I was seeing is a quack and doesnt even remember seeing me so I dont want to take her oppinion since she isnt sure.
