a couple days ago the inside of the back of my throat started to get red. it hurt whenever i swallowed, yawned, or sneezed. on the other side of my throat (right of hanging thing) it was fine but a little red. it feels like my throat is really dry. now my voice is different like a little deeper than b4.the affected side of my throat the white part is sticking in or something. the other side is normal i guess(sticking out but not a lot). anyway each morning when i wake up my throat feels like its really dry and sore. it hurts again.

what is wrong with my throat is it like strep throat or something? what should i do? is there any medicines?
please help. btw at skool its like my ears are plugged up and i cant hear very clearly, so i dont know whether im speaking loud enough(teachers told me 2speak louder lol) is this normal? please help!!!

You need to see your doctor. Even a view of your throat will not tell anything. You will need to have your throat swabbed with a cotton swab and tested for Strept. If it's positive, you will be put on an antiobiotic. The ears and throat are all connected which is why you are having problems with both.

All answers are good here!

Some additional informations:
I had the same problem twice and it came from the dry air from an air condition. The first time I used antibiotics and the infection was gone after some days. But I was not sure that it was the antibiotics or the time that healed it. The second time I did not use antibiotics and the infection was gone after about the same time of 5-6 days.
Did you use any drugs like Ecstacy or something else? Users of E get sometimes this problems too. A total dehydration of the throat! If yes then wait some days and drink a lot of orange juice. No milk products!

You might have step throat. I had strep throat and it is contagious. When you get white spots I think that you might have it. Trust me it wasn't a very pleasant experiance. I was throwing up all the time and I couldn't eat anything. Well if you start throwing up then you have strep. But not to worry, It goes away in a few days (well depending on how worse the case is). Mine wasn't bad. Just take a few days off from school and ask your mom to take you to the doctor. That's what I did with my mom. And I was sick just in time for Christmas! Yes there are medicines. You can take a fluid or pills that you need to swallow whole.

That white patch IS a streptococcal infection, e.g. Strep Throat. You will NOT get over it without antibiotics. You must see a physician to get over this one.

Get to a doctor as soon as possible. You may have streph throat. Nothing to fool around with.

it sounds like you have a serious infection...i would recommend going to the doctor...symptoms sound a lot like strep! If you do have strep, it is highly contagious!
