I want to go one day without smoking. Usually I smoke a pack a day. So today I want to try not to smoke..some kind of a test...to go one day without it... Anyway, I'm tempted at the moment, I'm flipping one in my fingers...

will alcohol cause your blood pressure to go up, or does it help bring it down, or does it not affect it at all. my last bp was 180/115 becuase of a Rx change, just trying to keep it as low as i can right now for only being 30, thanks for info.

I'm wondering if I should even take this medication. I've learned that it actually is a antidep. instead of something for TMJ which may help this also, i'm no dr. for sure. But i'm concerned about my heart getting out of rythum which is the last thing I want after 4 years of no symtoms of this. Please any advice is appreciated. Should I ask my Dr. to give me another kind of anitdep. with no risk of arrythumias such as Ativan or Valium which i've taken in the past for anexity??? thank you in advance!

On my shin, about 2-3 inches under my knee i have a very sensitive spot. I am in taekwondo and often collide shins while sparring. It is lasting way too long to be a bruise and there are no discolorations or bumps. It causes a lot of pain when touched. Could this be a pinched nerve, or what is it?

My left side of my chest just under my shoulder is constantly hurting. Especially in the morning is when it is worse.. It will hurt all day somedays but sometimes it won't. It is almost like an internal shooting pain when I lay down a certain way or take a deep breath. I have been to a pulmonary doctor and took a breath test along with a CT scan on my chest. They told me I didn't have pleurisy and my test came back fine. I have an appointment with a neurologist coming up because they said it might be a pinched nerve in my spine or something like that. Anyway it has hurt for about 3 or 4 months now ever since I slept in an uncomfortable chair one night. Any help or advice? I am a big worry baby when it comes to this stuff but I was just wondering if anybody has had this happen or know something about it. Thanks

Yesterday morning, I woke up to what thought to be a huge pimple, then as the day went on I ended up having this huge swollen lump with what looks like a pimple in the middle, and it is right below my eye. I put ice on it all day and tonight oozzy (sp) clear liquid type stuff began coming out of it, I dont know whether I should keep on getting the ooze out to reduce the swelling or if it will make it even worse? I have to go see my entire boyfriends fammily tommorow and am hoping for the swelling to go down over night, any advice would be appreciated!!!

We Don't Know Which Is Stronger. They Both Derive From Oxycodone NOT Oxycottin. So Which Is More Potent The Percocet That Has 10/325mg Or The Roxicodone 5mg? For the past week my back has been hurting and I figured I had herniated a disc. I finally went to the hospital Wednesday morning and ended up having to have emergency surgery. I had one disc herniated and another piece of a disc floating around in my spine. Unfortunatley, it was too late for my foot. I can't move it at all. The doctor recommends physical therapy so that I might eventually be able to walk without a brace. Anyone know any good exercises? I just want to start right away and I can't go to PT for a couple of weeks. Thanks!

I have always wondered how people move so fast, like punching 1000 times in 1 minutes, doing 10 jumping jacks in 1 seconds, or EVEN CATCHING ALL 50 LEAVES THAT FALL OFF A TREE AT ONE TIME. having excruciating pain in my big toe and third toe on my left foot.
especially aggravated when standing. on the bottem of my toes there is swelling and when i press down it feels like there is a lot of fluid where the swelling is. i have no idea what caused this, and was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this? there is also a tingling sensation, almost numbness as if my foot(toes) were asleep. i looked up symptoms for bunion and its not accurate for what im feeling. ive also had corns in the past and its nothing of the sort... thanks so much for your help!

At first I thought I had a wisdom tooth coming in in the back, but I was at the dentist 2 months ago and he said even the xrays show no signs of wisdom teeth coming in. It feels like theres a couple of sores, one behind my back right tooth and one on my inner cheek, but its making my ENTIRE right side of my mouth hurt! When I talk or eat it hurts, even my ear hurts. theres is no swelling. it doesnt pain when touched or pressed also. it aches inside the knees. mostly only one of the knees ache at a time and it shifts between knees.
the ortho checked and said is nothing wrong with the knees.. bit it still aches.. wat shud i do?

I've woken up the past couple nights feeling like my ears would explode. But I would take Motrin or Tylenol and it goes away for a bit, but the pain hurts more.

I recently had 2 sick days in a row due to a sore throat and a temp, the sore throat hurt really bad when i swallowed but now the pain is in my ears and a little in my throat.

This pain is constant, and I have lived with it for 5 years.
I have seen a General Practitioner, had X-rays, and the results were negative for anything an X-ray could see.

What should I do? I went to a Pilates class tonight and could not do the things on my back because it hurt so much, and I want to get rid of this pain.
