I've woken up the past couple nights feeling like my ears would explode. But I would take Motrin or Tylenol and it goes away for a bit, but the pain hurts more.

I recently had 2 sick days in a row due to a sore throat and a temp, the sore throat hurt really bad when i swallowed but now the pain is in my ears and a little in my throat.

I think it might be time for a doctor to check you over. Sounds like you might have infection in your ears or could be the swelling from your throat. You might have strep throat. All need to be treated with antibotics. They can also give you cortisone to reduce the swelling in your throat. Hope you feel better. Good luck.

I know this is going to sound like it does not fit
Muscles get knots in them which causes them to be tight which in turn because they are tight they apply pressure to nerves and other things.
If you can get someone to give your back, shoulders and neck a massage some of the muscles will lighten up but then you go back to your neck and everywhere on your head. What you are looking for are spots that are tender. You probably did not realize most of them were there. 6-12 strokes lengthwise on the muscle (if you can tell which way it goes) up to 6 times a day will help them go away. For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

Also for ear drops (you will need a shower when you wake up) bake or microwave an onion and use a couple drops in each ear.
Onion is in the garlic family and has the same type of curative qualities.

Sounds like lots of fluid build up on your ear, probably should have it checked out. My doctor told me to hold your nose and swallow several times a day to help with the draining process. It sometimes hurts but gradually feels better. Hope this helps.

It could also be a really bad ear infection. You don't want to let that go. You could burst your ear drum and you definitely don't want to do that. It could also be swimmer's ear. I'm attaching a link. Either way, I would go to the doctor. You don't want to mess with your ears.
