We Don't Know Which Is Stronger. They Both Derive From Oxycodone NOT Oxycottin. So Which Is More Potent The Percocet That Has 10/325mg Or The Roxicodone 5mg? I Realise That The Percocet Has More Mg, BUT Are Roxi's Just As Potent, More Potent, Or Less With It Being Roxicodone 5mg? We Just Need To Know Which Is More Powerful & Does The Roxi Have More Potency Even Though It's Less In Millagrams?

They contain the same drug, oxycodone...just in 2 different strengths. The most potent is Pecocet 10...10mg vs the Roxicodone 5mg.

First OxyContin is Oxycodone. OxyContin is a brand name of a time-released Oxycodone.
Percocet 10/325 has 10mg Oxycodone and 325mg Tylenol. Roxicodone 5mg is 5mg of Oxycodone. Percocet 10/325 has TWICE as much Oxycodone. These both contain the same active ingredient and there potency is based on the mg's, 10 is MORE than 5..

The Percocet is much weaker than the Roxicodone. 10/325 means it has 325 mg of Aspirin/Acetaminophen mixed in the pill as well. A Roxicodone 5 mg has no aspirin at all, it is pure pain pill. I see how you can be confused because of the 10 mg Percocet vs. the 5 mg Roxicodone, but I'm on the 15 mg Roxicodone. I know it's stronger (the 5 mg) because I consulted with my doctor who I saw about an hour ago today to help answer your question. I was curious myself. You asked a good question. Hope this helps.

Oxycontin IS oxycodone. It has a time release matrix. Oxycontin is just a brand name.
Percocet 10/325 has more oxycodone than Roxicodone 5mg...both are oxycodone.
