my sister just hit me with a phone right under the eye. its swelling up. i have ice on it, what else can i do to keep it from turning into a black eye?

I've been getting neck and sholder pain for awhile, and it my skin where the pain is feels hot to the touch and it kind of feels like a sun burn, its not red at all just hot, is normal with any muscle strain etc?

How many people out there have had this surgery done? and what is the outcome?
Also has any one had a Spinal cortizone shot? and if so any side effects?

I have been asked to get both of these done to myself, but because I am a mother I need to weight the options first any serious answers appreciated

I am on the track team for my high school and have ran track before. I am a 100m sprinter. I have recently been getting shin splints and i have tried a lot of things. My shoes are fine, my running form is fine, i stretch, warm up, and such. I ice it after practices every day and massage it. Is there anything else that can help heal it, or heal it faster?

my uncle has a servere problem with his knees.especially when the weather is humid or rainny his knees would swell up with FLUID from his own body and he has to get them drained out monthly and his knees are so painful he can no longer walk.they just got worsen in the past 2 years.has anyone ever heard of this condition ?and is there a cure?

i injured my ankle (just under my achilles) about a year ago. it still hurts.....I went to the Docter to get x-rays, and they came back negative...did I just sprain it really bad?why would it still hurt?...the doctor told me the ankle has poor circulation...whats going on???

The ER gave me Percocet for bain pain the other night and I have an appointment with my family doctor tomorrow and I would like the same medication as it has been the ONLY pill to work, and I have tried every over the counter pain killer and muscle relaxers and none of it has helped except the Percocet. Is there anyway I can demand the same pills from my dr since they were prescribed to me at the ER?

I will make sure to ask and spell everything correctly for the jerk who just said my story has so many holes in it. My story is a true and painful one. i ment to say i was in the hospital for 3-5 days, NOT 35 days. They do have record of my drugs, and I am on FULL disability because of my CHRONIC pain. I don't hallucinate, i hope you are never in my situation. BUT if you are someday, PLEASE!!!!Remember how crule, and uncaring you were to me. What comes around, goes around. I have a real problem. The drugs I am documented as taking, didn't show up in my urine. So they want to take me off of them. That is it. You are a RUDE, JERK. Thank you to everyone else. God bless.

my blood level (INR) is 8 too thin my doc gave me darvocet to take for the pain in my legs i looked it up and it will thin my blood even more because of the blood thinner im already taking what to do because this could be deadly.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!if i dont take darvocet what can i take (no tylenol,or and thing that has asprin in it)i also have a bad liver i had a large tumor and it took 7hrs for the doctors to remove half....help plz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAD SOMANY DRUGS IN MY SYSTEM I WAS AFRAID I WAS HURTING MY SYSTEM. NOW MY DR, SAYS NO MORE PAIN PILLS. NO WEANING ME OFF OR ANYTHING. HE SAID THERE IS NO PROBLEM, CAUS IT SHOWS I HAVE NO DRUGS IN MY SYSTEM! I HAVE CRONIC PAIN, JUST HAD A LUMBAR LAMENECTOMY ON BACK, AND A COMPRESSION FUSION ON MY NECK, 22 DAYS AGO. THE PAIN IS INTENSE WITH THE MEDS. CAN A DR JUST6 TAKE YOU OFF MEDS, JUST LIKE THAT, BECAUSE THE URINE SHOWS NO DRUGS?/??? IN THE HOSPITAL, I WAS GIVEN DILOTTED (SP) DEMEROL, INTRAV. FOR 3 5 DAYS ALSO. I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND DEMANDED A RETEST, A BLOOD TEST, TO PROVE THE URINE WAS WRONG. THEY REFUSED, AND THE DR, WONT WRITE AN ORDER FOR IT.HE SIAD "IT'S NEGITIVE, SO YOU AREN'T TAKING THE PILLS I PRESCRIBED. END OF STORY!" I OFFERED TO PAY FOR IT, AND STILL CANT GET ONE. is cubital tunnel syndrome, ulnar tunnel syndrome, guyon canal entrapment, decompression in siti and carpal tunnel syndrome are they in the same family. i heard that some of these could be caused by performing assembly line work. is that true. how can i tell in the differece. i just know something is wrong with my hands. and my work want let me see there doctor. i have seen a nurse and she has put me on light duty for 2 weeks now. people tells me to be very careful because they have not let me see one of there doctors yet. i don't know what to do. can someone help me try to figure out whats going on with my hands. i know i need to see a doctor, but it was like i said, this is scarey because work could be involved. can someone help me with what the difference is in these syndomes. please and if you know why my work would be doing this to me please let me know. i don't want to loose my job. thanks

long question ok i hav a friend who did his back about a yr ago at work and had have surgery to remove his bottom 2 vertabra because trhey were out of place and were squashing a major nerve and then at the start of this week he went to hospital (on monday) because he lost all feeling in his left leg and had to have surgery that nightdoes tht mean it was most likely his spine again and how long would it take for him to recover and leave the hospital????
i only got to talk to him for a little bit before his surgery hence the reason i dont really know whats goin on any help would be greatly appreciated

I work as a sales a assistant in an agrivet supply store. It was then that i always had cold, i never knew it was an allergy because of the odor of the feeds were selling, i thought it was just an ordinary cold. I just consulted a doctor 6 months ago because i can no longer sleep and breath normally at night because of colds and its giving me headaches and fever at that time. I never been able to consult a physician because our finances were too limited to even pay a doctor and specialist specially when medicines were too expensive. Im just an ordinary working girl in a third world country and consulting a physician is such a luxury to us that few people can afford, even our government health center cant afford to pay a specialist in our province... im hoping there would be cure with my sinusitis and im open for suggestion. i also want to cure it with herbal medicine but i dont know what herbal to use. thank you so much for taking time in answering my question... have a nice day...
