I am on the track team for my high school and have ran track before. I am a 100m sprinter. I have recently been getting shin splints and i have tried a lot of things. My shoes are fine, my running form is fine, i stretch, warm up, and such. I ice it after practices every day and massage it. Is there anything else that can help heal it, or heal it faster?

a friend of mine had the same problem when he played basketball in h.s. this is what he did--stand on a step oon the balls of your feet. let your heels sink down, then rise back up onto your toes. this strengthens the muscles on either side of the shin bone, which helps to protect the bone fromn the shock of running. he also wrapped his lower legs with ace bandages for more support. try to avoid spending long periods of time standing on hard surfaces also. good luck
