United States has a strong policy against drug importation - which should make sense as it provides a certain filter against everything that's out there. But many countries (Israel, Russia, China) that don't have such restrictions also don't seem to experience any problems with imported drugs. Their low drug prices decrease interest for attempts to sell low quality products into the market.

So, is U.S. overly concerned with its Highly Overpriced drug-making business or What? What is your opinion?

My thumb is swollen and it hurts when I put the SLIGHTEST pressure on it. I think it is infected. What can I do to alleviate the pain?
(just so you know how much it hurts, i can't press the spacebar with my thumb.)
I know I have to go to the doctor, and i have an appointment scheduled, but in the mean time, anyone have any suggestions?
thanks!!

This week I keep getting muscle cramps in the calves of my legs, usually only one leg at a time. Do you know what causes these or how to prevent them. I am 59 yrs old and have a job where I am on my feet all day. However, it happens whether I work or not that particular day. Have you suffered this and what did you do?

I worked my upper body for the first time in 12 years and I awoke in pain from my triceps. I didnt think the weight was excessive during the workout. My arms cannot go past 90 degrees; I cannot touch my shoulders. If I use my other hand and try to force my hand to my shoulders the pain in severe. I can barely get out of bed and have difficulty bringing a glass of water to my face.

I am assuming I just don't work upper body until the soreness goes away. I am also assuming there were excessive microtears in my last workout..I intend to lower the weight/reps last time.
I think this was caused by doing pecs/shoulders and then tricep workouts in succession. I am alternating heating pads around my bicep/triceps and taking protein (my Glu arrives today and I will also take that). I am debating taking a painkiller to make it go away and I dont like to use them. Any advice to speed healing and/or minimize pain is appreciated.

Anyone out there taking this for fibromyalgia? That is why my doc prescribed it for me and it has really helped, though it's only been about a week.

I was running and jumped over a big cool sewer drain and my shoe slipped and I stepped on the hard rim at the back, and it made a huge bruise. What should I do?

I feel a little like I have a handover. Dull headache, eyes sensitive to light, and no energy. Sleeping-in wasn't to catch up on lost sleep or due to illness or staying up late. I go to bed at my normal time, and because its a week end I don't set my alarm. Any ideas?

Why is it that my mother was in the hospital for only four days - came home with a slight bruised looking spot on her back and died with massave sores in one month? Why does someone in a coma for a year, 6months whatever don't get them and die quicker?

suggested. I was supposed 2 go to physical therapy 4 it but at just that time my mom was told she had cancer & the next few wks were spent taking care of her.

It's been 4 months since the break. I've cont'd to do the exercises. I've been able 2 crawl my fingers up the wall til the broken arm can go up as far as the other one. I can even sleep on that side, tho I usually wake up in pain. The main exercise I haven't been able to do is put my arm behind my back.. My new insurance doesn't cover physical therapy & its been 4 months, but I'm still working at range of motion exercises.

I have this little 1 pound wgt bar & wonder if that would help
w/ the healing. I've made sure I got enough calcium. I do sitting yoga ea day which works the arm tho I still can't reach as far as the other arm. When I lift tht lil wgt 4 curls it doesnt' hurt. I was told that at about 6 mths scar tissue forms so I now i want 2 do as much as i can over the next 2 mths. any help appreciated.

I suffered a neck injury which damaged muscles and tendons.
I really don't want to spend such a large amount of money if this lamp doesn't work as they claim.

But when ever I go down to do my squats my heals always go up no matter what. Is it possible that I have lower back problems? If so what could have caused it?

Back in the summer I has this "attack" where I had sharp stabbing pains in the middle of my chest (I think it would be my sternum). I had about 3 of these over about an 8 hour shift at work, and a couple of them hurt so much and became worse when I breathed in so I was left bending over holding my breath until it passed. So when I saw my doctor in november, my symptoms were as followed: Sharp stabbing pains during these "attacks" that I didn't think lasted more than 5 minutes. They seem to be happening about 1 a day or so, not all being so severe I couldn't breathe, but still hurt.
I have these "attacks" numerous times of day, and on top of that my sterum feels like someone's just punched it. It's hurt ALL day today, really sore, and little pressure to is causes pain. I can no longer lay on my stomache for about more than 5 minutes with a pillow under my chest to read a book or use my computer because the pain hurts to much.
If anyone knows what this may be, please let me know. Thanks!

i don't mean weeks or anything crazy i mean something someone might actually do, like stay up until 7:20 AM, or 10:00 AM every night conseqeutively. is there short term or long term health hazards of it? could it make you have breathing difficulties at all? remember i'm not talking about not getting sleep at all just extending the time you stay up until late morning every night.
