Anyone out there taking this for fibromyalgia? That is why my doc prescribed it for me and it has really helped, though it's only been about a week.

Cymbalta is a newer medication used for depression but also helps w/pain associated with depression and also helpful with chronic paon suffers. It helps with the serotonin and nueoriphine(sp). I am currently taking it have been for about 6 mnths was given for depression dr changed me due to so much aches and pains thought it would be helpful for me and help not to have to take so much vicodin. It has helped so i could see how it would help with fibromalygia 9sp) as well. Good luck i am very satisfired with the cymbalta i have been on 8-10 differnt meds this has been the best good luck!

Most common treatment given for Fibromyalgia is medication for serotonin uptake. People with Fibromyalgia tend to lose serotonin (A component of the blood) which keeps them from sleeping or resting. Many people get good response from this type of treatment. I hope that it continues to help you.

well you didn't say WHAT you were taking, but I use Nikken products, and so do my friends.
