Lawsuit? Could this be something to take to court?
I went to my doctor in July 06 for the sensation of fullness in my ear. They told me that I had a severe wax build up and proceeded to syringe this out (several times with alot of force) to no avail. They referred me to a specialist. The specialist removed the wax via an instrument while I watched on the monitor. The specialist pointed out the blood and tearing of surrounding membranes from the syringing my doctor did. The removal took all of 5 min. Two weeks after this incident, I lost all hearing in the affected ear. As of date I have not been able to hear. I called the specialist back and reported the loss. He did a series of test and concluded that the loss would not be reversed. He did not indicate to me the reason for the initial loss. Is this just cause for a lawsuit? I am not out to "get" someone. But was my original doctor negligent in the syringing process? If so, should this process of syringing not be allowed. What are your thoughts on this matter?

My son whacked me in the eyeball yesterday with the edge of his report card ( on accident ), and it still won't quit watering. It feels like it is scraped or something, and every time I blink it stings. Is there anything I can do to help?

Until last year, I never got cramps. Then it started and it hurts so much that I really wish I was a guy sometimes. I try Tylenol, lying down, warm compress, exercising a bit, and not eating anything with caffeine. I have heard all these things and try it and the pain is still very great. It's only that one day and I try to deal with it but it's hard. Anyone else have any other ideas?

Do you think that doctors will quit and fewer people will be interested in becoming doctors if the United States starts having socialized healthcare?

I'm a 36 y/o, healthy male in decent shape who "threw out" his back (and simulatenously bruised my ego) while playing with my toddler this morning. The spasm was so bad that I was practically imobilized. Advil and Valium helped, as did my electric heating pad, but I was wondering if anyone else had alternative solutions (preferably non-Rx, as I'm not a big fan of Flexoril, Vicodin, etc).

Thanks!

Dan
