A "crick" in the neck is when the cartilage between the bones in the spine slip apart and don't bend as they should. The spine is the nerve center of the body and whenever anyone "gets out of shape" (meaning the bending) it can hurt anywhere in the body. You mentioned a pinched nerve, and that is a good way to describe it.

I have had some back problems like this. I went to a chiropractor and he pushed and pulled on me for several weeks, but it took most of the pain away. You won't get rid of it all at once, but he can eliminate the pain in your neck right away.

Ron gave you the perfect answer.

Go to the Chiropractor for an adjustment. You have a misalignment in your neck or back.
