The numbness means you've pinched or damaged a nerve so until thats repaired or healed it will always be a problem.

The same applies to the bruising sensation you get under your foot. Theres obvious damage and only surgery or healing can fix it.

When you began to walk you would've favored your good leg by putting MOST your weight on that leg to support yourself (other people may notice you walk with a limp). This can become habit after a while even after you've healed some and CAN lead to more problems.

Other than allow yourself to heal or corrective surgery after your Drs advice theres not really much you can do. But when standing for long periods move your weight between legs and sway to and fro (toes then heals) to give you a longer duration. Also strengthening the muscles in your legs can prevent a lot of this pain or eliminate it all together.
