Before I went and tryed any meds, whether they be over the counter or perscribed, I would try a few other things. First, are you going to bed at the same time every night and getting up at the same time everyday? Its important that if you struggle with your sleep to stay in a routine. Are you under any new stresses lately? That also plays a role in sleeping patterns. I would also recommend sleepy time tea about an hour before bedtime, something to help you relax. Are you taking naps during the day? If so, I would stop those. You may be tired for a few days, but you need to keep in a routine. If staying in routine doesn't work, I might try an over the counter sleep aid, for ONE night and see if it helps. It is nothing I would take everynight. If that doesn't help, consult your Dr. Sweet Dreams

Are you eating something late in the evening that is keeping you awake? Do you know that yogurt and banana's are not day time foods. They create a chemical reaction in your body, producing melatonin. Melatonin is what your body needs to sleep. If your Melatonin is off in your body then it can affect your sleep cycle. Research it and see how this works. I honestly believe that our body chemistry changes every 7 years. So at 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42 etc. I have always seen and experienced a change in my body during these years and try to research my age group at the time. Something to think about.
Hope you the best in your search. Sweet Dreams!!!

im exacly the same. its prob just a normal sleeping pattern for you, as its mine now ive gotten used to it.
if it gets you down and you feel really tired, go see your doc and he'll prescribe you some tablets and only take when you wake up and want to get your head back down.
if you dont want to use medication, just have a nice hot bath before you go to bed with lavender radox, this will relax you and help you to have a good nights sleep.

Try lavender oil.
Put a few drops into a bath 1/2 hour before bed.
Then put a couple of drops on your pillow too.
You will sleep well.

I used to either oversleep or not sleep at all...to get myself on a regular schedule my doctor told me to try melatonin. It is a all natural sleep aid that just increases the natural chemicals to allow you to sleep.
Once I got myself on a schedule...I was able to not have to use it.
3mg worked for me.
