Wash the injury and apply some mild antiseptic. If you or your mom has Rescue Remedy in the house, apply it to the injury. Calendula lotion will also do. Seek help if needed. Reiki is being sent for the highest welfare of all of you. To know more about Reiki, check the net.

Head wounds bleed a lot. If the injury looks minor then it probably is, but if the bleeding doesn't stop in a couple of hours, take him to the ER. They have this stuff called dermabond that will glue the skin back together so he may not need stitches.

put pressure on it
ice it
elevate it above his head
make sure he isnt taking: asprin, coumadin, palvix for the day.
