how much blood is needed in a comprehensive STD test (where you want the lab to see if you have anything)? i am talking about when you go to the doctors and they take some blood, how much blood is taken like that?

My girlfriend that im thinking about spending the rest of my life with, tells me everything. She told me about her ex-boyfriend she had before me, and that he called her from jail and told her he had STD. Well she went to go get checked, and they said that it was just bacterial infection. Well she got a new docter and that docter said that it has Clymidia... She getting it treated with medication that'll take 7-10 days. I never had unprotected sex with her, but when its treated, is it fully gone? If I have unprotected sex, could I still catch it, even weeks after she got it medicated? How serious is Clymidia?

i've been asking my boyfriend to go get tested for stds and such... and the last time when i asked him if he did, he said that the navy tested everything for his re-enlistment. i knew that they run blood test and they check up on shots and all...but do they actually do a STD check? i'm kind of iffy about my boyfriends answer... so i wanted to know if they do a STD check for re-enlistments.

I have hsv1 already. Same thing as fever blisters. My girl friend has hsv 2, or genital herpes. I was just wondering since I kind of have the same virus, could I get both one, and two? I have never heard of that but I want to make sure. Any help would be great.

I just saw on the news that they want to give a 11 year old girls a shot to protect against HPV. Then I saw the person saying 'it will lead to premarital sex'..blah blah. I think that is ridiculous. The shot will help protect against cervical cancer. That is a good thing. What do you think?

I am having a problem with what I originally thought to be a yeast infection, but now am not so sure! It started off with that uncomfortable feeling that you get with a yeast infection, however now I have what seems to be a rash on one side of the lip of my vagina. It is swollen and inflamed and REALLY sore. I think it may have some little white spots too! It hurst really badly and won't stop or go away! We had sex the night before this started. It has been since Tuesday. last Tuesday!
I am married and I have been tested since then which was 2 years ago, and have not done ANYTHING with anyone other than my husband! So, if it is an STD, how did I get it? To my knowledge he has not done anything with anyone else, but I have never had this problem before!
I am freaking out and I can't tell him because he will immediately accuse me of cheating? (He is that type of guy, not OMG how are you, but OMG how could you do that?) I have to know what is going on before I say anything to him.
