Ok so my brother is going through puberty. He's about 15 and came to me one day and asked me a question. We have a very good relationship and he tells me everything. He isn't sexually active. But, he said he has noticed several small bumps all over his scrotum and the base of his penis. Most of these bumps have pubic hair growing out he said, and at first he thought it was just from the hair. Then he said he noticed several more that didn't have pubic hair. And also he said that they appear like zits and some can be popped like them. He is now scared that he has somehow contracted Genital Warts or Herpes and has come to me about it. I didn't know an answer for him. and i have done research with him on genital herpes and warts, but can only find pictures of severe cases. Can anyone tell me if this is acne? Herpes? Warts? Or a normal part of puberty?

I SEEN A COMMERCIAL ABOUT HPV AND IT SAID THAT IT CLEARS UP BY ITSELF - IS THIS TRUE? OR IS THIS FALSE?
I'M SOO SCARED OF GETTING IT- I AM BEGINNING NOT TO TRUST GUYS - IS THERE ANY TEST THAT A GUY COULD TAKE TO SEE IF HE HAS IT? I AM GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT MY NEXT BOYFRIEND GETS TESTED FOR ALL STDS.

PLEASE POST BACK IF YOU CAN ANSWER- THANKS

Latey on the dating scene I have hear and read oral sex is safer, and very low risk of HIV or AIDS, I even heard there are no reported cases of HIV from oral sex, I am confused, my doctor said "There is very very little risk, but it may be possible" then I read saliva kills all possible chances. Anyone have a real answer that that can clear this up?

I had an STD check with blood tests. I tested positive for Type 1 Herpes (oral Herpes) but I tested negative for Type 2 Herpes (genital Herpes.) So what does this mean? Do I have an STD? I've never had an outbreak or anything.

Well simply she has an std that she says is in remission and it is one that cant be tested in men and men dont know they have it. She claims that she cant have children vaginaly because of it or she would pass it on. She refuses to tell me what it is that she has and I am tring to protect me and future relationships. This is all I know of the std. What are the possible stds that I have been in contact with? Does she have any obligations to disclose this info to me other than morally? Should I contact local health dept.?

My spouse has been diagnosed with HPV. I understand that it can lay dormant for a couple of years. I've been faithful for over 15 years. Can it lay dormant for this long or should I be concerned?

If HIV causes AIDS, then there would not be people with the exact symtoms, Kaposi's sarcoma, Pneumocystis pnuemonia etc. that are part of the same risk groups ( IV drug users and daily amyl nitrate sniffers) but with no HIV antibodies. Heavy hard drug users chemotherapy patients, and the malnourished have always risked immune failure. Millions of people would be dead from it each year as a result of mosquitos (which carry and transmit every blood born virus). There was an interesting article in the San Francisco Chronicle a few years ago that discussed why so many of the early AIDS deaths from the late seventies and early eighties (before the HIV theory was accepted) turned out to not have HIV. It was claimed that although they were part of the same risk group, they actually died from a "rare lymphatic cancer" that had all the same symtoms as AIDS. We were told by HIV experts that anyone infected with HIV would be dead in 18 months. They keep changing that, adding years and years.
