I have been diagnosed with anal warts. It is uncomfortable discussing this. When I date women, I frequently ask them to manipulate my rectum with their fingers and/or tongue. Am I required to tell them about my condition? Is it dangerous not to tell them?

So, since my ex girlfriend was diagnosed with HPV, the high risk type that causes cervical cancer, I probably have it too. I cant be 100% sure since there is no test for hpv for males, but in terms of future relationships, I have one consolation.

When I tell any potential future partner that I am more than likely an HPV carrier, I can tell her to get vaccinated with Gardasil.

Would it then be safe for her to have sex with me ? Can we have sex without her becoming HPV positive ?

How about booster shots ? I hear gardasil is for females 9 to 26 yrs old. What happens if she gets vaccinated at 25 and then 4 yrs later she needs a booster shot ut she is 29! ?!?

Very confused here.

PS. By the way, thanks a lot to ALLI, for helping me and so many others with their HPV related questions.

I had two high risk encounters within 25 days of each other (5/4/04 & 5/29/04) with the same person and I tested for HIV on August 10th (to cover the first encounter & I tested 73 days after the last encounter- 5/29/04) and it came back negative. Would I need another test for the last encounter & if I would, what would you think the results would be?

I'm 14 years old. I got pneumonia last year while i was dating this one girl. Then I started dating this other girl who turned out to be slutty and stuff but she didnt have sex until after we broke up. I dont know if she has HIV or anything, but i kissed her on the lips when we were going out. I got mono while i was going out with her and i've read that mono could be a symptom of hiv. i know it is very rare to get it through french kissing, let alone a peck on the lips.

I am a 21 year old man and never had this problem until I started dating this 24 year old lady named Betty about 6 months ago. I met her in a bar and slept with her in her in the parking lot that night. Now for the last 3 months my private member has swollen, turned red, became sore to the touch and it burns severly when I urinate. Betty is the only person I have had sex with in the last 2 years, ( I was in the Navy for 18 months before I met Betty and did not have sex ). Betty swears she has been tested for std's and has none, she also says she hasn't slept with anyone else but me, but she has been going on a lot of overnight trips with her family members lately. Or at least that is what she tells me, for all
I know she could be off with other men, because I have caught her in lies before and she never wants to talk about her trips when returning home. Could I really have an std? Or do you think I may have a urinary tract infection and just need some antibotics like Betty insists?

i think that i'''''''m tired of hearing the whites always giving us the statistics of those living with aids in africa, but i'v never heard any stuff about it in europe or america or even asia.when a black is traveling to europe we undergo series of test (hiv etc) to my own view i think the popullation of those living with aids ineurope, america or even asia is at an alarming rate speaking of people sleeping with animals, the rate of divorce cases and the high level of indecency.

During a recent pysical, I had routine blood and urinalysis done. The tests included a prostate antigen test, urine culture, urinalysis, basic metabolic panel, and a hemogram/blood count through routine venipuncture. Everything tested "normal." Would these tests reveal the presence of STD's?
