you CAN get rid of the warts. You can not however get rid of the virus that causes them, so they may come back. The virus is called HPV. There are about 100 different types and some cause warts and some may lead to cervical cancer. If you have a healthy immune system, it will very likely keep the virus under control and may be even suppress it all together in about a year or two. Then you will stop getting new warts. Also, watch your warts closely, see if they are getting worse or bigger. If they are not, give it some time and sometimes they go away on their own.. once again if you have a strong and healthy immune system. So the best thing you can do to yourself is keep your immune system strong. Eat healthy, get enough sleep, try to reduce stress, do not smoke, etc.
If they do not go away on their own, you can have your doctor freeze and remove them or burn them using a special tool.

You CAN get rid of genital warts. I don't know why some people are saying you can't. You can treat and get rid of the warts, but there is no cure for the virus that causes the warts - HPV (human papillomavirus). And, once you treat the warts they can always come back. I have read about 20% of people who treated their genital warts had them come back and had to treat them again.

I personally think the easiest way of getting rid of genital warts is by using a prescription cream. Aldara cream and Condylox cream are available with a prescription from your doctor. You can use this cream at your own home at your convenience. I used Aldara cream about 10 months ago for genital warts. And, even though it took a little over a month for the warts to completely go away, I think it worked great!

If the warts don't go away or are more severe you can have a doctor apply a stronger solution to the warts. This is done at the doctors office and is done with several appointments.

If this still doesn't work, you may need to have them removed with surgery. The doctor can either freeze or burn them off.

Do NOT use any over the counter products. These medications are used for hand and feet warts, not genital warts. The medication can burn and irritate the skin in the genital area, because it is a lot more sensitive.

Good luck!

Duct tape can help. Also, I've never used freeze off, but I have used Compound W gel. I used that and then covered it with duct tape, and my warts all went away. I would definitely stop cutting them off - if you want to do anything, use a file and clean it well afterwards (warts can spread if you do try to remove one the wrong way).

There's no easy way to do it...your doctor can either freeze or burn them off which gets rid of them immediately. Or he/she can prescribe Aldara or Condylox cream to rub on it, which can take anywhere from 4 to 16 weeks. But do treat them because they can spread to other areas.
