You need to have some sort of sexual contact with a person who has either one of the viruses.

You can NOT get herpes or HPV from a toilet seat, shower, sink, swimming pool, bed sheets, jacuzzi, etc. The list goes on an on.

I have personally had genital herpes and HPV for over 5 years now. I shared a bathroom with my two younger brothers most of those five years. No it´s very dificult, with HPV for exmple, the virus of HPV survives very littel time outside the body it survives like a second or so so it´s really hard. With herpes i guess it´s the same.
