No. Genital herpes can NOT be passed to you or anyone from a toilet seat.

I have had genital herpes for over 5 years now. I shared a bathroom with my two younger brothers almost all of those 5 years. Neither of them ever contracted genital herpes from me by using the toilet after me, or the sink or shower for that matter. I've also had other family members and friends use the toilet after me, and none of them have ever contracted genital herpes from using the toilet after me. Genital herpes is just not spread like that. If you are really concerned about it, you can always wipe it off with a disinfecting wipe after they use it.

Usually genital herpes is ONLY spread by having sex with that person or having direct skin to skin contact with the area. There are other ways, like childbirth, but this is really rare.

There is a groundwork actually that herpes might be transmitted by way of an inanimate item reminiscent of a bathroom seat or rainy towel however the stipulations required for this sort of transmission (prime warmth, prime moisture, and a prone publicity web site) make it incredibly not going. Although there aren't any validated circumstances of this form of transmission, sharing a towel with someone with lively lesions must be have shyed away from. Likewise, sharing lip or mouth merchandise (toothbrushes, lipstick, lip balm, or equivalent) with someone with lively lesions must be have shyed away from.
