Is the mouth going to get more infectious(perhaps even without any visible warts)when there is a outbreak of genital warts?

Almost 10 years ago, I went to the ER and was told that I have genital herpes. I thought it was an allergic reaction to an over the counter yeast infection cream. Anyway, I was told that I have herpes. I have not had an outbreak since then. Remember, it was 10 years ago. I've thought for years that I don't have it since most reading I've done states that stress and other illnesses can cause an outbreak. Is there a blood test that can be performed to diagnosis this if no "blisters" or "sores" are present? The virus lays dormant in one's system, so once you have it, you always have it. Anyone out there know?

I went to the OB/GYN last week and had the typical tests done for std's. My doc called me today and said at some point I have come in contact with someone who has herpes...
I have had NO outbreaks and NO symptoms.
Why is this??? I dont fully understand!
He told me there was nothing he could do for me at this point unless I have blisters or lesions!
What the heck?
Please someone fill me in!

I'm 17 and I think i have something. I told my mom that I think I should start getting checked but she keeps saying, "Oh, but your young, its OK." It so embarassing and I don't know where to go. My mom would be so disappointed.. I just got out of rehab and when I drank, I did stupid **** and now I'm paying for it. Ive had symptoms for like 2 months now. I want to get checked and treated but I cant let anyone know.. I'm so0o nervous.

AIDS is currently the sixth-leading cause of death for all American women. Most women don't even know they have HIV until they get an opportunistic infection, and then they've got full blown AIDS.

I've read other medical reports stating that 50% of new cases are females between 13 - 24 years old.

Is this going to be females #1 cause of death in 10 - 20 years.

I was dating this guy for 2 months (no sex mind you) and then he started acting very strangely. Eventually he told me he had herpes and he was having an outbreak so he wasn't really coming around and he was depressed. I am not sure what to do... I am so disappointed because we had perfect chemistry, matching values, and we had so much fun together. Is there a huge risk of transmission if I decided to continue dating him? I have heard yes and no...
