My mom would be so disappointed.. I just got out of rehab and when I drank, I did stupid **** and now I'm paying for it. Ive had symptoms for like 2 months now. Tell your mom you want to go to the doctor, or better yet make an appointment yourself. I did when I was 17. Try and see your family doctor first and if you can't, go to Planned Parenthood. It can be pretty pricey to get tested for STDs without insurance though (just a little FYI).

It's really important that you get tested if you think you have something. When I was 17 I was diagnosed with two STDs; genital herpes and HPV. That same year I developed cervical cancer from my HPV. So, if you think you have something, get tested! Better to be safe than sorry! Good luck!

If you have an aunt or even a best friends' mom you could talk to that might be an option. You need to get treated though asap because if you don't, some of the std's out there could cause you not to be able to have children later on. Go to the free clinic in your area by yourself if you have no one else to take you. I know at 17 that is a scarry thing to do but sweetie, sometimes we don't have a choice but to take care of ourselves.

i know it is embarrassing but get checked like tomorrow. don't wait, your health is way too important. If you have never had a pap smear, take a close, trusted friend with you because the first time can be especially scary. Get ice cream after :)
good luck and remember even if the tests come back positive that doesn't make you a bad person, or unclean, just an crappy situation. good luck, and snag some free colored condoms while you are there, okay?

If you're old enough to possibly contract an STD then you're old enough to deal with it. There are plenty of places that you can go and get checked out at, including your family doctor, for which your mom doen't need to give you permission to do so. Wouldn't you rather know and deal with it then let it sit and get worse? The longer you wait the worse it could potentially get. I seriously urge you to get checked out as soon as you can, it'll be worth the releif you'll have afterwards of just knowing what's going on. There are plenty of medications that in most cases help, or even get rid of the STD, so until you know for sure, try not to panic. On the other hand, get checked as soon as you can to reduce the severity and effects.

Your mom does'nt have to know if you visit your doc or a clinic. They've seen it all before,so don't go getting shy. A 2 minute examination and a prescription will put your life back on track again. Ok,so you drank, but you decided to live a life instead. You were grown up about that,so please do this for yourself

You should tell your mom..She might be disappointed in what you did but you need to go to the doctor..you should always use a condom if you do anything that stops from std and getting pregnant...plus you don't want to loose your mom's respect for hidding your problems.

I understand how you feel I just went trough a similar problem with my 17 yr. old daughter. You can go to your local health department to be tested. You really need to know so that if you are sexually active, this is not pasted on to your partner.

Since you're over the age of 16, the doctor can't tell your parents anything. Go to your family doctor or any walk in doctor and tell them your symtoms and they can diagnose and treat it secretly. Good luck!

You should try Planned Parenthood or even your Department of Public Health; they should help you. Hurry and get checked. And i hope you learned from your dangerous and irresponsible behavior.

Go to your local family planning clinic and get checked out. They are usually confidential.
