STDs - October 2006

My partner was diagnosed with gonorrhea last week and he is currently udner medication. I was diagnosed with UTI, and have finished with my medication. I had a urinalysis to check if my UTI is cleared. There are no other abnormalities in the result of the test. Is it possible that I acquired gonorrhea but it was undetected in the urinalysis? Thank you!

Well i had protected sex with a someone i didn't know well at all. I wore a condom and because it was spiratic only lasted under 5 mins. Should i realisticly be worried about any diseases. Trying to put my mind at ease....

my 17 year old son came home from school today & told me about his friends "mother" who's boss went out to lunch with employees from my son's friends mother's work (did that make sense?) In a nut shell,the food took forever to come to the table (longer than 25 minutes) & after eating just a bit of it,they all had it boxed up to take back to the office(then home I imagine)with them.SUPPOSEDLY the next day,all of them woke up with blisters around their lips.2 of the afflicted went to the doctor to be told that it was herpes.The remaining afflicted soon followed. They too were told the same thing. Herpes.Now, my son also claims that there was "7 different semen" in the food (they had it tested, again SUPPOSEDLY).
K, I'm 44 & I like to think I'm fairly hip with things,but with his friends mother claiming it happened, maybe I really don't know much about anything.I am under the impression that contracting herpes this way is NEAR impossible.And if it is, would it show up so quickly?

I used to think this same thing until i did some math in my head. First things first..theres only a certain percent of people with AIDS and lets just say its 15 percent of Americans.they only make money off them. Now, if they came up with a "cure" in the form of a vaccinne or shot u have to take once a year (like the flu shot)that would mean mostly like all Americans.100 percent would pay money to take this shot every year. Thats WAY more money. People will pay up the *** for a cure for a deadly disease like that. Also, if they know the cure as people think.why wouldn't they just make HIV treatable for the rest of a persons life.wouldn't they make more money off a person who has to pay for pills for the rest of their life instead of someone with a shortened lifespan? hmm..how would they profit off death? hmm.also why would Bill Gates donated billions of dollars into something theres a cure for.wouldn't u think Bill Gates knows whatsup if there is one already and not waste his money?

I actually have a couple questions. I have type 1 genital herpes. When will I ever be able to have sex without a condom and not run the risk of spreading it? Is it only transferred through skin to skin contact? And is using a condom a sure fire way of not passing it on?

I lost my virginity about two weeks ago,and ever since I've had a burning sensation. It's at its worse when I need to, during, or right after urinating. After our 2nd misscarriage this year, our OB-GYN performed multiple test in search of a cause. He found the presence of a bacteria in my wife's vagina called Ureaplasma Urealyticum. He originally said it was commonly contracted from pond water or well water however, I only find information regarding sexual transmition. My wife and I have been monogamous for more than 16 years therefore, I am interested in the theory of well water contamination. If this is a possible cause, I need information on testing and treating my water supply.
Our OB-GYN started my wife and I on Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day for 14 days. Again, Starting me on this without a positive test result sounds more like a sexually transmitted disease. If it is related to our water supply, should I do any test or offer prophalactic treatment for my 5 year old daughter. My daughter does have a continued problem of urinary frequency and urinary urgency. Urine test do not identify a UTI. Could this be related?

I have a tiny vaginal wart grown and I am seeing a doctor for treatments . My doctor keep on telling me dont worry and it is not gonna cause cancer and she belives my immune system will kill the virus in 2 months after the wart is gone but I am reading all these articles on internet and they sound very scary to me , it says the virus would never go away and turns to cancer .
