I don't have it but I was wondering what would you do if you had it?? Would you tell your family or friends or would you hide it?? How would you deal with it??

I have it, i will tell you what i do, I tell people, i take my meds, i deal with it the best way i can, i use it to get people to understand what it is like to be HIV+ I get people to understand that having it dose not make you a bad person, or mean that you are gay like a lot of people think. I tell people that feeling sorry for people that have it is the wrong thing to do, caring for them and understanding how they feel is the better, and also if you know someone that is HIV+ don't treat them any different.

Being ashamed of a virus almost seems silly but well understood. I would tell my family and doctor of course. Not sure I would want everyone to know because they might not react the way I would hope them to.

I won't hide it. Of course I'd be traumatised, but keeping it a secret isn't fair to either yourself or others around you.
