I actually have a couple questions. I have type 1 genital herpes. When will I ever be able to have sex without a condom and not run the risk of spreading it? Is it only transferred through skin to skin contact? And is using a condom a sure fire way of not passing it on?

hsv is spread by skin to skin contact, therefore condoms do not provide complete protection. the virus can still be passed with a condom. the good news is that genital hsv 1 has a very low rate of outbreaks compared to hsv 2. in addition, you may be a candidate for hsv suppresive therapy with daily medication. in couples where one partner is positive and the other negative, the pos person can be placed on suppression to prevent the other person from contracting the disease. talk to your doctor about this option.

Genital herpes can be spread whether you are having an outbreak or not. You will ALWAYS be able to spread it to your boyfriend and although condoms are the best protection against any STD, they are not 100% effective.

I have had genital herpes for over 5 years now. I got it from a guy I was dating; he had no symptoms or signs of the virus, like an outbreak. I also passed it on to my fiance about 11 months ago. I hadn't had an outbreak in almost 2 years and I still passed it to him!

Safest thing to do is to ALWAYS insist he wears a condom. It's not 100%, but it is the closest thing to it (other than abstinence of course). Good luck to you!

I tested positive for herpes type 2 about 6 years ago, when I was in college and had a spupid one night affair. I think a lot of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing. I jus made mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the problem for the rest of my life. The awful part was feeling I would never date men again. After all, who wants to date a person who has sores around her you-know-what? But after a good friend share this video https://tr.im/gGWbq everything has changed. Not only was I able to eliminate all traces of the herpes virus from my body in less than 20 days, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so happy to write that just last week, in fornt of many people in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program offered me the chance to be happy again, and to experience true love.

I got diagnosed with herpes type 2 about seven years ago, when I was still in college and had a spupid one-night stand. I know a lot of girls will say this but I swear I never did that sort of thing. I jud made mistake that one time and, suddenly, it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl who has sores around her you-know-what? But after a friend share this video https://tr.im/UcbEC everything has changed. Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I`m so blessed to write that just last week, in fornt of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This program gave me back the change to be happy, and to experience true love. Now I want to help you share this the world.

No sex before, during, and a few weeks after outbreaks. Condoms. Valtrex. That will put you at about 0.5% of passing it....or so they say.

Most people get it becasue 3/4 people that have it don't even know it. Just by knowing you can take action to prevent spreading it.

Your lucky you have Type-1 as well, it doesn't spread as easily. Most people have type-1 oral allready...and if thats the case, they are pretty much immune to another infection no matter where it is. Talk to your doctor.

The only sure fire way of not passing it on is to not have sex at all. Condoms are only a preventative measure and are not 100% effective.
