I have a tiny vaginal wart grown and I am seeing a doctor for treatments . My doctor keep on telling me dont worry and it is not gonna cause cancer and she belives my immune system will kill the virus in 2 months after the wart is gone but I am reading all these articles on internet and they sound very scary to me , it says the virus would never go away and turns to cancer . I need some honest answer from people who experienced this . I already know everything about HPV and I dont need any lecture on that . I just wanna know if anyone got rid of the virus after the treatment . Mine is either type 6 or 11 since it started with a bad infection . Please dont send me any mean answers , I am already in lots of emotional and physical pain .

I have already got my wart frozen but the question is if I am going to carry the virus for rest of my life . I got the wart from my boyfriend who is now my ex since the whole wart thing proved me he is cheating on me . My doctor told me that I can beat the virus whithin 2 month but the info I found on the web says this virus stays in me forever .

Most people DO get rid of the virus all on their own. Some people though will have it their entire life.

It is possible once you get it all treated that HPV will go away for you. It's possible you can contract it again though if you were to get rid of it.

I've read about 20% of people who have had genital warts have them come back and need to get them treated again.

I had genital warts about 10 months ago, treated them with Aldara cream and they have never come back (luckily).

Also, just because you have warts doesn't mean you will ever develop cancer from it. The kinds of HPV that cause cancer are completely different then the kinds that cause warts. Next time you visit your doctor you should ask her what kind or kinds of HPV you have. They are able to tell you now by giving you a pap smear.

just get treated and don't worry. sometimes the virus goes away with the treatment, sometimes it doesn't. and even when it doesn't go away, it doesn't mean it will turn into cancer or even that the warts will come back. not every kind of hpv virus can turn into cancer. about your boyfriend, it could be possible that he had the virus before knowing you and only discovered it later. it's been reported that people have had the virus for 10 years before developing sympoms.

I had them on my penis about 30 years ago. My girl friend hated when I had them removed. Its simple tho. They have a liquid and you just put a drop on the wart and whoollla they dry out and just disappear in a few days. Sorry I dont remember the name of the product.

My ex girlfriend had Vaginal Warts and generously passed them on to me. I had to go to the STD clinic and have them frozen off, not very pleasant I can tell you! I was very angry!
