It is quite possible, but it is not an absolute. Make sure all parties concerned are aware of the infection, to take care during the pregnancy and delivery to minimize the chances of transmitting the infection.

yes there is a chance. With the drugs available today, there is only about a 1% chance it will happen (in the US and Canada) In 3rd world countries, unfortunately, there is about a 90% chance the disease will spread because of breastfeeding and the unavailability of the medications.
