It depends on the STD - Genitle Herpes - no cure. HIV/AIDS - no cure. Some infections can be "cured" but sometimes once you get 'it' - you got it, meaning it will be easy to 'catch it' and 'pass it' again. Best advice, PRACTICE SAFE SEX!

Unrealistic Reality - It would take but one generation to kill out all STD's - the answer - one partner and only one partner. Condoms do not protect against all STD's - and do not prevent preg. I have a friend who used condoms and has 5 kids - all 'accidents' - he than got himself fixed.

Everyone else has nailed. There is no cure at all for HIV, genital warts, or herpes. There are medications to help control the symptoms and decrease their severity, but no cure. The most common of these is genital warts. The problem is (as it is with herpes and the others) is that you can become infected from people who are asymptomatic (completely no symptoms) Many of the STD's travel together such as chlamydia and gonorrhea. These are easily treated with antibiotics.
The person above had it correct when she said 'It's money honey'! There are some great medicines for these incurable disease, but they only help symptoms and prolong your life some.
Good question.

Cold sores are caused by the herpes virus. Many of us already have the cold sore virus dormant in our bodies, and never have a flare up of cold sores. We contracted it as children, as it is a very common virus, and children pick it up easily as they often share food and drinks, and may be less concerned about hand washing and hygiene. Cold sores can be transmitted even when the person does not have a cold sore, though it is less likely to happen then.

remember that you can remove genital warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or cream but genital warts can reappear again and again because genital warts appears when your immune system is weak!

I got diagnosed with herpes type 2 about seven years ago, when I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. However, Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my system in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again!

genital warts can be controlled but never cured because they are caused by the human papilloma virus and as all viruses they never leave the body. HIV doesn´t have a cure. I think herpes doesn´t either. Some std´s as siphillis do have a cure but why risk ir, just take care of you.

There is no cure for HIV, only treatment. Chlamidia, gonorrhea, and syphilis are treatable with antibiotics. Herpes outbreaks are treatable but can still be passed on even with treatment. There is no cure for genital warts. The warts can be treated, but not cured.
