HPV is definitley contagious, you can get genital warts from the human papiloma virus. Men don' t get affected by it as much as women do they are more like the carriers but it is still possible to get genital warts. Also some strains of HPV can develop into a form of cancer in women and there are no cures, only preventions but once you have it you're out of luck. For some women it clears up on its on but not for all.

the human pamploma virus also known as HPV is highly contagious. it is the leading cause of cervical cancer...there are over a 100 different strains of the virus and about 3 or 4 cause cancer of the cervix. other strains cause genital warts. some cause no symptoms.

HPV (human papillomavirus) is spread by sex (vaginal, anal or oral) and by direct skin to skin contact.

If you had sex with someone who has the virus there is a definite possibility that you could contract it. The virus is spread REALLY easily.
