Yes, you could contract a urinary infection from touching yourself or bad hygiene. There is an OTC pill that's sold just about everywhere called "AZO". It's a urinary tract cleanser and also will clean out your system if you have to pass a drug test.

You can and most people do at soome point in their lives get a urinary track infection.
It is not at all a result of sexual intercourse.
There are many reasons that can bring on this infection, the most common are:
* The underwear you wear (even so far as stockings)
* Holding in when you need to wee (if you gotta go - go)
* The way you wipe after wee (always go front to back - NEVER back to front)
I do recommend you get it treated ASAP as an untreated infection can lead to a kidney infection (VERY VERY painful and sometimes will result in a hospital stay!)

Most definitely! You can get an infection by wiping yourself the wrong way. The correct way is from front to back. You can also get a UTI when you hold your urine and if you do not drink enough water. There are a lot of other ways of getting UTI other than sex.

Yes, more common for women than men, although it happens to both. And if you're a woman, and take antibiotics for the UTI, then most times you get a yeast infection...YAY!!!

Absolutely, and women should always wipe front to back. That is the most common way to get a uti. Also, becareful to remain dry. Use a panty liner if you have to.

do you drink enough water, and do you hold in your pee? do you wipe from back to front? do you wash your undies properly and heat dry them? see you doc and get a prescription for that, it can progress and ger really nasty, you can bleed, infect your kidneys, it can turn into and abscess.

yes many things can cause a UTI. swimming in dirty water, bathing in dirty water, coming in contact with bacteria and many other things can lead to UTI's.
