what exactly is herpes and how would you know if you have it and how can you get it,i know its an std but can you get it other wise?

Ok, first Herpes is not HPV. These are two different diseases. HPV causes genital warts and changes in the cells of the cervix for women. Herpes shows as skin lesions. You may have HPV and NEVER in your lifetime will you know. However, with Herpes you will eventually have an outbreak. There are 2 types. There is one strain that causes cold sores on your lips and the other that causes gential sores. The are different, however, by receiving oral sex from someone who had a cold sore you can develop genital herpes. It also follows that by giving oral sex to someone that has gential herpes you can get cold sores.
It is possible to spread herpes even when you do not have an outbreak. It is also possible to spread herpes even with a condom - from skin to skin contact.
There is know cure for herpes, but there are medications that can suppress the outbreaks (like I said, you can still spread it though) If you think you have herpes or HPV you should see your doctor immediatly. If you don't have one, look up your local planned parenthood location and see them.

is a virus that's sexually transmitted or even just by a kiss! if the person that's is kissing happens to be having an outbreak on their lips it can be transmitted as well. the virus can live dormant on the spinal cord for several years before the person can have their fist outbreak which it's along with severe fever.
and basically the person has to learn to live with the herpes virus for the rest of their life's, and be honest to informed any sex partners that they have the herpes virus. not a funy matter my friend.

It's a virus (human papilloma virus) Actually, there are 2 types of herpes viruses.. One causes cold sores on your mouth and the other type causes lesions to form on the genitalia. It is transmitted via sex (oral/anal/vaginal) and there is no cure. There are treatments but just so you know, eve if you have no visible lesions, once you get it, you could always pass it on. So make sure to tell your partners before getting intimate.

it is a virus that causes bumps that look like blisters in ur genital area. they itch pretty bad . and u can get herpes anywhare ur body comes in contact with the virus . i know a guy cheerleader who lifted a girl up on his shoulders and got herpes on his neck . u really dont wanna have it . if u remotely think u have contracted it, u should go see your doctor to start treatments
