I hav not heard of this side affect. is this good, bad? please help>?

I have finally decided to quit smoking on Monday. I have bought my patches, boiled sweets and a good book etc. I am absolutely sh1tting myself as I have never tried to quit before, but I know I need to do this.

Any tips or suggestions for helping me get over the worst habbit ever!

pls people I really need to do this!

My mother in law is 78 and in hospital with pnuemonia, everything she eats goes down into her lungs rather than esophogas to the stomach. Anyone ever heard of such a condition? She doesn't want to be fed through a tube, how long can she be expected to live with this condition?

Shes had it for 4 weeks, seen the docs 3 times, been through 2 bottles of cough mixture.Im at my wits end, she doesnt sleep well at night because of it and ive tried every home remedy too. Ive tried honey with warm water/milk, turmeric in milk,vicks on her chest at night, sleeping on extra pillows and everything i can think of....any suggestions??
We both need a good nights sleep!! Any suggestions appreciated

Seriously. They are a little larger than an orange seed and appear/shaped like a caccoon. No, they are not tonsiliths. It's from deep in my lungs. And I've never smoked.
I have a chronic cough for yrs I've been taking athsma meds/inhailers for and still the cough continues. It will suddenly get worse and I'll start wheasing then cough a white, brown and grey caccoon thing up from my lungs once/twice a month.

PLEASE... tell me if you know ANYTHING that it could be. It's really freaking me out.

Its really bad a few weeks ago he broke out with this insane rash. When he was taken to the doctor, I was told that it was because of his asthma. He is more vulnerable to allergies then most because of his asthma. What does that mean for me working... Do I have to stay home with him. He is already on 3 different types of medication. my mom has copd (chronic obstructive pulminary disease) i have researched all of this and it keeps on telling me that they aint shore my mum has a quater of her lung taken over by this disease and i was told it would be about ten years maximum but the downsider is she still smokes how will this affect her life expectancy and could you give me a range or is their anyone that is suffering with the desease if so it would be great for all your information as the doctors havn;t told us anything only that syhe needs steroids.
