Hello everyone. I'm a female, and I really want to stop my snoring habit, because it always seems to interfere with my daily life. Even if I sleep a full 10 hours, I still feel sleepy in the morning, which I think is because of snoring. I was wondering if there was a way to prevent it, or possibly get rid of it for good.

On December 2nd I got a TB skin test done, which came back negative, but they found 2-3mm nodules in my lungs, and did a phlem test, and told me to come back in February, after 6-8 weeks. Now, I'm feeling flu-like symptoms, breathing difficulties, chest pain, fatigue, and body aches and pain. I hate to bother the doctor again since she told me to get a TB skin test in the first place. I've been taking some leftover Amoxillian, 400mg. of Guaifensin,(which is for chest congestion), and some cough syrup, but nothing is helping and its been a month already. Should I be worried??
Tuberculosis is going around my town alot. Should I see the doctor again or wait?
Please help me!!

This sure helps me go to sleep without coughing all night. I have done this several times with no problems. I cut the cough in half so it won't be in my mouth too long. I have tried cough medicine but the type I tried that loosens phlegm makes my throut itch more and I get more coughing. The other type of cough medicine that surpresses cough I don't think is safe when my throut is full of phlegm. I have tried gaggling with salt water before bed and that keeps the throut from itching for a little while but not long enough for me to go to sleep.

I listen before and after extubation. Someone told me it's useless to listen beforehand because you can't hear it with the ETT in place. I say if you deflate the cuff you could hear stridor. Any opinions

Last Friday I went to my physician and had a blood draw for testing the level of a certain medicine. I arrived after the lab that picks up blood tests left. That means that my vial of blood will be sitting in the closed clinic till Mondays' pickup which is done daily. If anybody from a lab answers, my question is, will my sample of unrefridgerated or unfrozen blood be testable or if it was refridgerated will it still be good for testing? What would be the proper procedure for a situation such as this?

I woke up this morning and i couldnt breath well it felt as if i ran a mile in my sleep or sumthing but i havent ran in a long time, it hurts when i try and take a big gulp of air it hurts kinda in the lung area, i tried eatin cough drops but it doesnt do anything and i also havent been outside lately so what could be wrong with me and how do i cure it?

i have small amount of blood in my sputum one's a month or sometime one 2 to 3 month. This started last year. i never smoke in my life. i am 27, i have negative chest x ray and sputum report. i haven't any other sing and symptoms with that.

the doc , after pressing on my temples and looking up my nose said i had a bad case if sinusitis and prescribed antibiotics and a nasal spray.It helped BUT now i have the horrible headache again. My sinusis had been bothering me last week.I went to my family doc last week, but she doesnt have a nasal attachment there to check my nostrils( how sad is that?!!)Since fri, im in alot of pain.I have an appt to see an ENT doc in middle of Feb. Could this be a bad case of sinusitis that just isnt getting better?The past 2 yrs Ive been bothered by headaches from Occipital Neuaralgia.The only thing that has helped has been botox injections. But now im wondering if in fact it may have been sinusitis even 1/2 the time.
Im gonna end up going to put patients clinic..is there anything I should specifically ask for?Ive tried everything , and this headache is very unforgiving.TIA for any input!

I'm an asthmatic and I'm in DESPERATE need of an inhaler. I use Advair 100/150, or Albuterol, I can even use Singulair. I don't have medical insurance through my job yet and I wont for 6months! Do you know of any place where I can order it without a prescription and NOT pay ALOT of money? I can't afford much right now but I'm suffering, thanks!!

Some of her family refuse to ask her what her wishes are about DNR or full code status. She is mentally competent to make her own decisions, but they do not want her to die which I understand, but at the same time I feel they have no respect for her and what she may or may not want. I personally do not think that she would want to be coded or put on life support. I am a RN and her grandchild, but I am also the one she wants to stay with her in the hospital. I do not know what to do since her children will not talk to her about what she wants even at the Doctors request for them to do so. She is so very tired and is having more and more problems. Please help, I do not know what to do!

Hi, I have had a bad cold for the past month. Got it from my 2 year old nephew! Anyways, it started with stuffy nose and a huge head cold, a couple of weeks ago it went down to my chest and throat. Now I am having huge coughing fits (I cough and cough. Can't catch my breath and it's hard to relieve coughing. even with a drink or cough lozenges). Anyways, yesterday I started bringing up clear phlegm. I know my chest is just trying to get rid of it. But ... what color of phlegm is a bad color to have (like pneumonia).

My daughter, who was 2 at the time had 4 x-rays in the space of 5 months. The x-ray was of her front from neck to abdomin, and also her back. thankfuly her xray was fine but now i am worried about the side affects of these xrays, do you think it would have caused her any harm?what are the odds?
