Do you know of any place where I can order it without a prescription and NOT pay ALOT of money? I can't afford much right now but I'm suffering, thanks!!

Call your doctor and ask for samples. Most doctors are pretty good about giving them to you. If not, do like everyone else and go to the ER and maybe they'll give you one. Don't use any OTC inhalers like Primatene Mist. It can do lots of damage to your heart.

Asthma is an allergy and is triggered by something. The best non medication treatment for asthma is learning your triggers and avoiding them. Common triggers are smoke, dust, mold, mildew, plants, dust mites, pets and grass/weeds.

If you can not figure our your triggers, you may need to see an allergist and have allergy screening done. This may point out your triggers.

The National Asthma Prevention Program and the Expert Panel of Diagnosis and Management of Asthma both agree if you have to use a prescription inhaler such as albuterol more then two time per week, your asthma is NOT in control and you will need a prescription controller medication.

Controller medications are steroids (Asthmacort Asthmanex, Flovent, Pulmocort), Leukotriene modifier (Singulair, Aculade, Zyflo) or mast cell stabilizers (Cromolyn sodium, Intal, Tilade).

You may want to talk to your doctor about several strong controller medications and maybe Xolair shots.

If you want a proven, all-natural way to cure your asthma, without having to pay for useless medications with harmful side-effects, then this is the most important page you'll ever read.

Call your doctor and tell them about your dilemma. Perhaps they can give you sample until you find another source for your inhaler. Or they may be able to give you a coupon to help pay for it.

If you're in dire need, go to an ER and let them treat you. I'm sure you know that uncontrolled asthma can kill you. I have witnessed people coming into the ER in status asthmaticus and dying because it was too late to do anything to help them.

You don't say where you're located, but in many cities there are free or low cost clinics that can help you.

This is nothing to mess around with.please look in the phone book and start looking for free med.services ,your local health department or hosp. can tell you even someone at a shelter will know where you can go temp. until you get ins. This is so important! keep your water intake up and try not to get sick. some one w/asthma really shouldn't take over the counter meds. Also there may be an asthma resource center in the phone book , they offer free services too.

I usually just walk into my pharmacists and ask for an inhaler and i pay for it. I don't know where you live or how things work there...but inhalers are one of the few things you don't need a prescription for here in Ghana.

I think the best thing for you to do is see you family doctor and inform him of your situation. He should know what you can do in the meantime.

Call your doctor and explain the situation. He has the records that show you have asthma. He should have, or can get from a drug rep., some pharmaceutical samples. Ask him for an inhaler sample.

It would be worth a trip to your regular family doctor. Explain to them your situation and maybe, just maybe, they will see that until your insurance is active, you get samples. You can also call the practical company that makes the product and see if they can give you some help.

Worst any of them can say is no, but it is worth a try.
