Last Friday I went to my physician and had a blood draw for testing the level of a certain medicine. I arrived after the lab that picks up blood tests left. That means that my vial of blood will be sitting in the closed clinic till Mondays' pickup which is done daily. If anybody from a lab answers, my question is, will my sample of unrefridgerated or unfrozen blood be testable or if it was refridgerated will it still be good for testing? What would be the proper procedure for a situation such as this?

It's "refrigerated"... not "refriDgerated". Let the lab folks worry about that. They're professionals.

What medicine are they testing for?
Prozac?
Lithium?
Lysergic acid diethylmide?
Tetrahydrocannabinol?

You've got too many important things to worry about like all the "cobrones" that are going to be in your nightmares from now on. You're going to need something a lot stronger than those. The proper procedure is to not worry about it. Let the pros do what they do. Rest, keep warm, take a pill, and drink plenty of fluids.

Most of these clinics have more than 1 pick up per day, It will be refrigerated if it has to stay more than an hour. I am not a med lab tech but I have worked for a company that picked up lab specimens.

Many blood levels are stable in plasma/serum for many days. It really depends on the specific drug. That "vial of your blood" may be a clot tube that pulls clot components away from serum. So what you are describing may still yield a valid result. Again, it depends on the drug being tested, its stability and also its usual usual metabolic/clearance pathway.

im not a lab tech but it seems to me if these concerns had merit your clinic would either have you come back monday or they would make other arrangements to get the sample to the lab.

Wow... are you new to this or what? The lab techs know what they're doing. Don't worry, be happy. Learn to spell and all will be well. The proper situation is to sit back, load your bong, and get happy. The best is yet to come.
