today i was coughing and i started weezing and couldn't catch my breath for a few minutes , felt like my lungs stopped working, then i finally caught my breath and it felt like i had just ran a mile, what happened ? anyone ?

You had an asthma attack, what you described is exactly how one feels like (I have had asthma all my life) If you have never had one before, explain what happened to your doctor (people can suddenly develop asthma, pollution & ozon, have caused an increase in poeple getting asthma) ask your doctor for Albuterol inhaler, that way if this happens again, you can stop the attack quickly, I've been on many different meds for asthma, and this one works the fastest.

That sounds like an asthma attack. Kind of like you're trying to breathe through a tiny little straw. You might want to see your doctor about that.

If you do smoke alot you could be developing asthma or CPOD . I would go get yourself checked out and make sure your ok . Especially if you have been smoking for a long time .

I agree with emmyducki.....sounds like asthma..but i'm not a doctor...if you don't have won..try the emergency room

please go to a Dr. People on here are just guessing. You may have asthma, or allergies or other things. If you smoke you must stop.

If its not asthma then it could have been an anxiety attack or you just have cancer that you got from all those cigarettes and its spreading as we speak....sorry..couldnt help that last one...
