About a month to a month and a half after I quit smoking I was diagnosed with asthma and had the same symptoms you are describing. Symptoms persisted and then worsened over the next two years taking me to the emergency room several times...finally a Dr. ordered an x-ray and discovered a Hiatal hernia. By that time it was so bad that my stomach had to be carved off my lung. Ask about the asthma(which I also have) and ask for an x-ray. Good Luck!!

Chest pain is not good. Go to a Dr. If it starts feeling like a stabbing pain or a crushing pain, or if the shooting pain goes down your left arm please call an ambulance. I'd definitely see a doctor anyway about the lung pain. maybe a infection?

Have yourself checked out. Friends of mine who has stopped smoking is coughing so badly and have to spit out dark ugly slime all the time. They were told that is all the rubbish coming out. But none of them have chest pains. Please have yourself checked out , dont want you dying on us now. Take care ok:))))
